Autumn Pond Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #8 of 22 Leavenworth B&B and Inns

The atmostphere is wonderful, the price is right and the breakfast is phenomenal. We really felt like we were "at home" at Autumn Pond. John was a wonderful host and made us feel so comfortable right off the bat. The breakfast that he served each morning not only tasted good, but the presentation was outstanding as well. John also had good recommendations for restaurants and shops to visit as well as drives and walks to take. It was such a memorable, relaxing and wonderful weekend. We look forward to visiting Autumn Pond again and will definitely recommend it to others!

Hi - Just wanted to chime in and say we also had a great time at Autumn Pond at the end of December. The rooms are simple and homey. The location, just outside of town is quiet and scenic. John is a great host and an even better cook! Add to all this that the price is reasonable ($100/nt, I believe?). If you go to Leavenworth, I'd definitely check out Autumn Pond!

We looked at a lot of places to stay in Leavenworth, and found that, not only is Autumn Pond a great value, it had everything we wanted in a B&B in Levenworth. It's located about 1 mile north of the main street, far enough away to have a quiet and secluded feel, close enough to walk to town. The bedrooms are cozy, the beds verry comfortable. Breakfasts are prepared by Chef John. They are a delight to the eye, and great tasting. A major draw for us was the outdoor hot tub, we used it several times during our 2 night stay.
There is no T.V. available. Come prepared to enjoy a good book while hanging out in the evening in the large lounge area of the B&B. One morning we sat on the east facing porch and caught the early morning rays of the sun while watching an osprey circle above the pond. You'll be very pleased if you choose the Autumn Pond for your stay in Levenworth.

My husband and I just returned from spending Labor Day weekend in Leavenworth where we stayed at the Autumn Pond B &B. We have stayed at quite a few other bed and breakfasts and would rate this one very highly. The decor of the entire place was very comfortable without being cutesy or overdone. The bedrooms were not very large, but this just gave us a good reason to use the common room which had lots of comfortable seating and plenty of interesting reading material and games. Hot chocolate or tea was always available to enjoy.

The breakfasts were outstanding. Not only were they varied and extrememly good, the presentation was appealing as well. One couple we shared a table with were vegetarians and their dietary preferences had been accommodated while still giving them an outstanding meal. Seating was arranged at three table so conversation was easy, rather than trying to pay attention to several people at once.

John was an excellent sourse of information about Leavenworth and the surrounding area. He gave us a wonderful suggestion for a day hike and steered us to several great restaurants. I would not hesitate to recommend this bed and breakfast to my closest friends.

We stayed for two nights in March and had a wonderful experience. The property is a sort of far walk from downtown Leavenworth and we were surprised to learn there were was no TV in the room, but that's were my complaints end and technically that first one isn't a complaint since we just drove to downtown anyway. Our room was very nicely decorated and comfortable, and the lounge area had a large array of magazines and board games to occupy the time spent inside. There is a hot-tub outside in the back which was great for relaxing, and the breakfasts each morning were absolutely wonderful!! The other reviewers weren't lying when they mentioned how amazing a cook the host John is! The only not-quite-positive thing I would have to say about them is that we weren't given a choice on what to eat, and unfortunately my boyfriend is a very picky eater so he wasn't able to enjoy the breakfasts as much I did (though I did get to eat off his plate whatever he didn't touch, but my own portions were so filling that he still had a bit of food left on his plate each morning.)
For anyone who doesn't require being a quick jaunt away from downtown, and who can pass the nights just fine with no tv (we ended up listening to NPR on the clock radio in its place just because old habits die hard!), and who loves their breakfasts, I wholeheartedly recommend this B&B!!

My friends and I have been taking our families here for New Years for the past 4 years in a row, and we keep coming back for the amazing breakfasts, superb hospitality, hot hot spa, and snow. The breakfast is seriously enough to get you through to dinner, so bring your appetite! We'll see you next year Mr. John!

John's breakfasts are something you will remember until the next time you come back! Clean air, beautiful valley. We drive 5 hours from Portland to go there in winter --- to see snow, ski, sled and shop. Great room for reading and games with a roaring fire - and a hot tub for 4 couples just outside on the deck. Close to town - but feels miles away.

Go to Cafe Mozart for a nice dinner ($$$) and harp music. Sleigh rides up at Redtail Canyon. Cross-country or snow-shoe at Icicle Creek.
