I've visted Leavenworth quite a few times now and the Mountain Home Lodge is far and above the competition for lodging in town. I just got back from a two night stay in the Ponder Rock cabin and during the drive home my fiance and I were already disccussing when the next trip back will be.

No other hotel or lodge I've stayed at in Leavenworth, or anywhere, has been as friendly as Brad and Kathy were at the lodge. Everything that is done at the lodge seems to give the sense of not being just a guest, but being a welcome friend. The service is without flaw, top notch. We even had a friendly tour guide lead us on a hike through the woods (Millie the dog)

Dinner was wonderful, I did regret however only making a reservation for the first night. One the second night I tried a resturant in town that I had eaten at before and was unpleasently surprised to find that reduction in menu prices was reflected in the reduction of food quality. The best way I could think of to describe how the dinner was compare it to a recent meal I had at Ruth Chris( an expensive but well worth it resturant). Basically the food is as good as the meal served to me at Ruth Chris, only there was more food, better service, and it cost less.

The cabin we stayed at was wonderful. The perfect amount of space, the jetted bath tub and the oversized shower where great. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a small audio set up that was playing some classical music when Brad showed us to our cabin (very classy). However, I feel that while the dinner and room we more than expected, it was the staff and their hospitality that truly set the Mountain Home Lodge apart from any place else I've ever stayed.

I think that the only question truly needing to be answered by a review is, would they ever return and stay again. For me, the answer is yes.

Thank you for taking the time to compose such a gracious review of your experience on “The Mountain”. We are humbled by your flowing words of praise. We are so fortunate to love what we do and have a fantastic team of employees that help us shine.

We are honored by each guest that selects to spend their special holiday with us as we realize there are many fine destinations to explore. We have to agree the Cascades offer an amazing backdrop of recreation activities, peaceful interludes with nature and the serenity and renewal we all need to offset our busy daily lives. Mountain Home Lodge complements this natural wonder with a warm, welcoming private escape and we are glad to know it fit your needs to a tee.

We will look forward to sharing our paradise with you again!

Sincerely, Brad & Kathy

Our stay at Mountain Home Lodge this summer was idyllic. We stayed in one of the private cabins, which was phenomenally comfortable with an unadulterated view of the meadow and the mountains. Brad and his daughter were perfect hosts. The dinner was lovely and the setting unsurpassed. After a long day of hiking, the hot tub was a welcome relief. We could not ask for a more perfect setting.

Room Tip: The two private cabins are precisely that - private. I don't know how they compare to the rooms...

Thank you for your kind thoughts and choosing stay at Mountain Home Lodge. Hot tubs are always a welcomed present after a long day of enjoying the mountains. You mentioned privacy, and sometimes we need to remind ourselves that with just 12 accommodations, nestled on a 20 acre meadow, and surrounded by the Wenatchee National Forest its easy to forget that we are just 3 miles from downtown Leavenworth, yet a 1000 feet above the village. (Our tag line…1000 Feet closer To Heaven) As our fall colors begin to bloom here in the Pacific NW we hope you enjoy a beautiful autumn back east and we hope to see you again. Sincerely…Brad Mountain Home Lodge

Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall . . . the view of the beautiful mountains (The Enchantments) from this lodge will be outstanding! We were there in the summer when the evenings were warm and we enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck until the bright stars came out around 10:00 PM. The owners, Kathy and Brad, pay attention to all of the details . . . from the delicious food, to the first-class amenities in the rooms, to the costumer-focused service. They were both very friendly and offered us helpful recommendations regarding dining and activities in the near by town of Leavenworth. We stayed in a beautiful cabin, separate from the lodge, called Stuart Roost Cabin. It was a two room suite with a gas fireplace, wet bar, and a jacuzzi. We plan to return next year. After a difficult climb into the Enchantments, the Stuart Roost Cabin will be our reward!

Room Tip: The Stuart Roost Cabin was absolutely luxurious. The big picture windows framed the majestic Centra...

This is our second time here in the summer. The lodge is great. Brad and Kathy are so attentive and give great suggestions about entertainment and dining. The pool area is relaxing and just what you need when it is 100 degrees out. Rooms are clean with comfy beds. Breakfast is yummy! We will be back!

Thank You CW for the kind words and you're right about guests enjoying the pool. Here in the Eastern Cascades we can get warm and after a hike on our trails the swimming pool and chaise lounges can feel pretty refreshing. We hope to see you soon, maybe a winter visit? Sincerely, Brad... Mountain Home Lodge.

Again, another place I chose because of high reviews and we absolutely loved it. Even though we only went for dinner, the service was so wonderful and the scenery just breathtaking that we are already planning our next trip back to stay. The food was delicious from the appetizers to dessert. They graciously accommodated my dietary needs. The hosts were so kind and attentive and really made us feel quite at home. Their property has amazing views of the mountains and a pervasive air of tranquility--perfect for a getaway. Truly, I cannot say enough good about Mountain Home Lodge. We loved it and can't wait to go back!

My wife and I recently stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our 5th anniversary. This place is truly amazing. The hosts, Brad and Kathy, know how to make you feel welcome and help in any way, but also respect your privacy. Millie the dog was also an amazing hostess. She kept us company on our cabin deck one morning and loved visiting with us.

The location is phenomenal, nestled in the mountains just outside of Leavenworth and 1000 ft higher. The views are amazing from all around the property and the mountains are beautiful, whether at sunrise, midday, or sunset.

We stayed in the Ponder Rock cabin, which we would highly recommend. The cabin was so well designed with perfect spaces for relaxing indoors and outdoors. We spent one evening on the deck playing a game and sipping wine until the stars came out. Inside the living area is cozy with chairs and a gas fireplace. The king bed was comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. The upstairs loft serves as a great place to watch DVDs (they have a huge library for guest usage) and play games. The bathroom facilities were well appointed, as was the kitchenette with a complimentary bottle of wine and a mini refrigerator stocked with beer and soda. The cabin has a fantastic air conditioner that we used on the hot days, and then we opened the windows to let in the breeze at night. The deck was the perfect place to enjoy the view of the mountains and meadow at all times of day.

The lodge was well appointed with a wonderful dining room used for the included breakfast and optional dinner. The meals prepared by the chef were amazing (see my review under Mountain Home Lodge Restaurant). The surrounding deck is a great place to take breakfast or just relax. Although we did not use the hot tub or pool, the facilities were in great condition. There is a video room with hundreds of DVDs and videos that you can borrow for your unit.

The grounds at the lodge were just amazing. There is a huge meadow that must be an amazing sled hill in winter. We took a short hike one morning used the provided map and trail signage. There are even hiking staffs at the cabin for you to use if you forgot yours. The recommended trails led us to some great viewpoints and we enjoyed the scenery. We even loved that the staff asked to know when you depart and return, in order to ensure your safety. When returning from town to the lodge one evening, we even saw a black bear making his way up the far side of the meadow, most likely returning from the river to his forest home. And we saw so many beautiful birds and butterflies out on the property.

I cannot say enough good things about Mountain Home Lodge and I know we will be returning again to see this place, perhaps for the fall leaves or winter snow. One last thing: kudos to the staff for doing an excellent job with their website, which is a very accurate representation of the services offered.

Room Tip: Stay in the cabins for the ultimate luxury and privacy.

Hearing from you that your recent weekend was a perfect place to celebrate your special 5th anniversary makes all of us beam with pride and satisfaction. Our small, intimate staff exhibit time and time again their personal passion in providing you with the best escape they can. Our staff are all referred to as “Innkeepers”. Without each of their love and dedication we would be just another hotel in a pretty place. We are so pleased to accept your praises for Chef Ron and all of our staff.

Also a quick note of thanks for mentioning our web site as Brad works hard to keep it fresh and current for the ever changing information needs of the travel community. We strive to provide all of our guests with an amazing experience from arrival to departure and hearing kind words such as yours makes it all worthwhile! We look forward to your next visit to the “Mountain”.

We thoroughly enjoyed sharing the beauty of our slice of paradise in the Cascades with you. Millie our faithful trail dog is an asset to the resort and ready to trek out into the vast trails right outside our door with anyone who wants a 4- legged companion to join them. Glad to hear the Harvest Room was a good choice for you. Although one of our cozy rooms with a vaulted ceiling, it is a popular mid-level choice taking advantage of views into the forest and back meadow. Thank you and our best regards from all of us at MHL
