We stayed in the Cascade Suite with a beautiful view of the meadow and mountains. What a wonderful retreat with excellent food and accomodations. The hosts Brad and Kathy made the stay very pleasant from beginning to end. There are some beautiful hiking trails that take off from the lodge and have great views of Leavenworth as well as Wenatchee. We loved floating in the pool and the use of both the outdoor and our indoor jacuzzi. We would highly recommend Mountain Home Lodge for a romantic get-away.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mountain Home Lodge. From the outside it looks like a larger size personal home. In fact, it may have been that at one time. However, once inside, it starts feeling more like a small little inn, a very nice little inn. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice and comfortable, not over-the-top or very large, but clean and fully met all our needs. The food was wonderful. The best part was simply sitting outside and taking in the beautiful setting. It was amazing.

My husband and I stayed here in 2000 and again in 2004. What a terrific place! Starting with the Snowcat trip up to the lodge, you know that you are in for a true getaway! We stayed in the Ponder rock cabin and it was a bit pricey, but there are other room choices if price is a factor. The quiet was wonderful and we were even visited by a barn cat on a couple of nights!

This is a great place for firsts--we tried snowshoeing, crosscountry skiiing, sledding (included in rate) and snowmobiling (extra charge but oh, is it worth it) for the first time while staying here.

Breakfast and lunch are hearty and delicious but Chef Tom is not to be outdone at dinner! From the wine and appetizers (included in winter) to the delicious entrees and incredible desserts, the food is exceptional.

No TV and no internet, but you will be too busy to notice! Great for recharging.

Mountain Home Lodge is a wonderful place to rest and recharge in winter for just the two of you!! Hubb and I took our third annual winter retreat there a few weeks ago (and VERY much lucked out in this "no snow" winter with a beautiful all day snowfall). Winter rates may seem high but really look at all that's included (great website) AND once you've been pampered with a couple of their dinners you'll realize it's worth every penny. The only drawback here is some of the rooms are on the smallish (altho comfy and cozy) size, if you are someone who likes to hang out in your room quite a bit---go for the "Cascade Suite" in the lodge, or if you don't mind a quick chilly walk to the Lodge for meals splurge on one of their cabins. Be sure to try out a snowshoe walk and enjoy the outdoor hot tub...and the complimentary wine with appetizers :)

Several years ago, my husband and I went to Mountain Home Lodge to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Since our anniversary is in the winter, we wanted a winter getaway. Boy, did we find it! It started when we parked at the bottom of the road and rode in the snowcat to the lodge. Our room was fabulous. Each of the rooms is decorated differently and has its own theme (the Moose room, the Harvest room, etc). The food was incredible and all-inclusive. Talk about gourmet! We tried snowshoeing for the first time and had a wonderful time. The sledding hill is incredible. We had such a great time and have returned many times, both in winter and summer. It is such a romantic place, I highly recommend it.
