“Perfect getaway”

My husband and I recently stayed at the Mountain Home Lodge and absolutely loved it. The service was so gracious. We loved Kathy's sense of humor. The chef was fantastic as well. So funny and fabulous food. The private cabin was perfect. We loved the porch and the visiting neighbor dog who slept there. Great little hikes right from the Lodge. If you're lucky one of the dogs will go with you. The pool was so nice. We were so happy it was there to lounge around after our morning hike. No need to ever leave the facility. The town is far too touristy for us and the food at the Lodge far surpasses anything your can find in "Bavaria". We plan to go back in the winter. We can't wait!

We drove up to leavenworth from seattle on the eve of my birthday. We spent most of our day in lake chelan doing some wine tasting and drove back to leavenworth to spend the night in this cosy mountain lodge. The gravel road wound its way up the hill and there was nothing else in sight but pitch darkness until we finally arrived at the gate of the lodge. We did a self check in at the Mountain Trout room. This room was just as pretty as it appeared from the pictures posted on the website. We carried a small caramel cheesecake back to the room to celebrate my birthday and of course some wine to go with it. It was very special to be with my fiancee in such a pristine setting. We snuggled under the down comforter to take some rest for what had already been such a fabulous day. We woke up late the next day and unfortunately did not have too much left for breakfast but the view from the porch more than made up for it. The beautiful backdrop of the cascade mountain range with the lush green meadows in front just made it a view to cherish for a lifetime. I can only imagine how pretty this place would be in the winter season. The property owners were very warm and welcoming and their dogs kept following us all around wherever we went. It was a pity that we could only spend a few hours up there but those moments were very very special. We will definitely come back again and perhaps stay at the Mountain view room which boasts a splendid view from the comfort of your room. I highly recommend this lodge to any romantic getaway seekers out there.

My husband and I have been to Mountain Home Lodge several times (Spring / Early Summer.) Leavenworth itself is a cute, quaint little town-- nothing too impressive though. Mountain Home Lodge is what makes us visit the area yearly! The owners are extremely friendly, helpful and eager to please (without being overbearing.) The Lodge and the rooms are VERY clean, uncluttered, nicely decorated and comfortable. It is always quiet and peaceful there...There are no blaring TV's, no late-night parties in the room next door and no screaming children (don't get me wrong, I have a 2 year old and adore children -but there is a time and a place for everything and everyone; young children are not permitted at Mountain Home Lodge.) It is nice to sit by / in the pool or hot tub and relax in the quiet, peaceful outdoors. The property that the Lodge sits on is gorgeous and the views are amazing. Wildlife can often be seen on the property when hiking or just out the windows of the Lodge- (We saw a bear in the meadow while we were eating our breakfast one morning!) Which brings me to the food... UN..BE..LIEVABLE! The complimentary breakfast is simple (coffee/tea/juice, yogurt, granola, Eggs Benedict, fresh fruit) but it is always very fresh and yummy. The dinner, although a bit pricey, is worth every penny. "Chef" makes even the dishes that you normally wouldn't order for yourself absolutely DELICIOUS. We completely adore Mountain Home Lodge and you will too!!

This is truly a wonderful place. Close to Leavenworth (for surreal, yet strangely endearing kitsch), it is situated up in the mountain with an amazing view. The Lodge is small enough to give you a comfortable family feeling and personal attention. At the same time, don't fear that you'll have to sit with your B&B host at breakfast, stricken with a never-ending conversation. Every conversation you will have at the Mountain Home Lodge, whether with the cook, the innkeeper, or other guests, will be interesting and provide you with new information about the area, the people, and their unique stories.

Our stay was in early May, before (I assume) the busy summer season starts, and that also made the lodge especially relaxing. It was too early to use the swimming pool, but just sitting on the deck in the sun, sipping complimentary wine & munching on some baked brie appetizers was heavenly. Do sign up for dinner, because it is well worth it. Yum!

Breakfast is included, and - again - delicious. I loved going down early, grabbing a cup of coffee, and enjoying the view from the deck in a patch of morning sun. When the weather wasn't cooperating (yes, in May you can hit rain), I simply grabbed the coffees & headed back upstairs to our room for a comfy coffee-in-bed morning. So, you see, whatever you would like to do, the lodge will try to accommodate you.

The Central Cascades are very unique, and we'll want to come back for more hiking. And MHL will be the place we'll stay!

My husband and I just booked our third trip to Mountain Home Lodge and I felt I should really write a review about how wonderful this property is. Everything from the snowcat ride up to the property, to the fantastic meals that are included in a winter stay, to the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding area, to the hospitality of the owners is just simply wonderful! It is so nice to "get away from it all" at a winter wonderland such as this place. It is also nice to not be able to go anywhere (in winter) other than right outside the door. The hiking is incredible and we did a snowmobile tour last time that was so much fun!! We can't wait to go back this December!!

We went to the lodge to celebrate our anniversary. We knew from their website that it would be a special place and it absolutely was. Our room had lots of windows, a comfortable bed, and special touches like port wine, and a cd player with a selection of cd's. We took advantage of all the activities such as hiking, tennis, the swimming pool and hot tub. We also enjoyed relaxing on the deck and visiting with other guests. That brings me to the food....oh the food! Chef Tom is amazing. The breakfasts were wonderful and the dinners were out of this world. Brad and Kathy have created a very special place and we look forward to returning.

We stayed in the Cascade Suite with a beautiful view of the meadow and mountains. What a wonderful retreat with excellent food and accomodations. The hosts Brad and Kathy made the stay very pleasant from beginning to end. There are some beautiful hiking trails that take off from the lodge and have great views of Leavenworth as well as Wenatchee. We loved floating in the pool and the use of both the outdoor and our indoor jacuzzi. We would highly recommend Mountain Home Lodge for a romantic get-away.
