My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 17th anniversary. Really, words cannot express what an amazing place this is to stay at. Their attention to detail and their truly incredible breakfasts are something out of your imagination. As busy parents of an athletic boy, this was one way to ensure that we actually had time to sit and just "be". Be relaxed, be in love, be accepting of nature and be filled to the brim with incredible food. We stayed in the Great Northwest room. I highly recommend this room as it has three entrances (two of them private). Trek and Kona bikes are provided (with helmets and locks), DVD's to borrow from the River Room (great room) that you can enjoy in your room, coffee/tea service with a yummy treat each night. Breakfasts? Oh my... yesterday morning's breakfast was mango/peach yogurt, grapefruit/orange/banana juice, fresh cantaloupe/kiwi/pineapple/watermelon/grapes/strawberries, sticky bun French toast with pecans and "Sunday Scramble" (eggs, peppers, zucchini, cheese, cherry tomatoes, ham and onions. Served with fresh pico. Coffee was amazing, too. If you have a special occasion, or just need a weekend in heaven, I highly recommend this place!

My husband Ron and I chose the Run Of The River for an intimate celebration of our 31 years together.

Upon our arrival we were greated as friends other than guests, giving us this warm special welcoming. Kelley was very kind and informative on our suite and activities we had planned for the weekend.

We booked the Kingfisher Suite for the weekend, and so very happy we did. The room is amazing with such attention to detail one has no reason to leave if choosing to stay other then venturing out. The covered deck is very spacious and we found our refuge on the big swing that sits in the middle. We quickly discovered that we enjoyed sitting there so much that our time was mostly spent right there. The deck has a wonderful calming view, the Icicle River with the beautiful trees and rugged mountains is breath taking alone. The first day from that very spot we were entertained by deer with their babies, black bear, bob cat, racoon with babies, ducks, and blue heron.

The breakfasts a 5 Star! I promise they will keep you full til dinner!! You won't be disappointed
as the freshness and quality is top notch!!

Wonderful beautiful Fanny! She is the inns family dog. She is loving and beautiful.

I would like to say a special thank you to Jan and Steve for a wonderful unforgettable weekend for my husband Ron and I. The Run Of The River truly is a place of refuge. I know that the two of us found it the moment we arrived. Looking forward to our next visit!

Love,

Ron & Laura Walker

From the moment we arrived we exhaled. So peaceful and such amazing attention to detail. From the handwritten welcome note to the bubbles on the porch outfitted with a swing for two and visits from humming birds and chipmunks . Down below on the river a mother raccoon teaching her three kittens how to cross the river, a deer family, baby ducks.... You get the idea! Can't wait to come back, oh and the breakfast they serve every morning is Devine.

After 4 days with the extended family in Seattle, we needed a break (lol)! We couldn't have picked a more perfect place. From the warm welcome until our departure, the Run on the River met all our needs. We encountered a ferocious heat wave for our entire stay and the AC was 5 star fabulous. The breakfast was so over the top. We did not have to eat again until evening. We did white water rafting with Osprey, a great way to beat the heat. We can't wait to return to this wonderful B & B

Room Tip: All the suites are awesome. The Ravenswood cabin is spectacular with privacy, 2 hot tubs, a gourmet...

Went here in 1979 and back in 2012. Run by two retired educators. Everything you need or want. Icicle River runs behind it. Saw a bear, lots of deer, fox. The owners have everything you ever wanted. Take a bike for a spin, hike up to the top of the peaks, see a live show at the outdoor theatre, ( we saw Sound of Music), engage in the wineries. Great breakfast to get you off to a great start. Very relaxing.

Room Tip: All are great. Bo online to view the rooms.

This was our first experience with Run of the River, and we must say we were truly impressed! Our room ( Great Northwest) was spacious, and the wrap-a-round porch was great! The view from our room was lovely, and so much wildlife! Enjoyed watching the birds, ducks, deer and racoons. The gourmet breakfast each morning was awesome. So many little details that made the inn so unique. Jan & Steve and all the staff (can't forget to mention Fanny) made our stay a remarkable experience. Can't wait to come back.

We stayed for a week in the Ravenwood Lodge--the only accommodation that offered a full kitchen. (We usually stay at vacation rentals not B&Bs, because we do our own cooking.)There are spectacular hikes within a realitively short car ride. We felt pampered while we were here. Jan and Steve and staff were great hosts. This is a great retreat for nature-lovers. Fabulous views of the Cascades and Icicle Creek.

Room Tip: The Ravenwood Lodge--separate from the other building which had the other rooms--offered a great ful...
