Pros: Pet friendly, great restaurant, nice shower, great view!

Cons: NOISY......dirty (furniture was not cleaned, suspect spots on walls, floors dirty, Tub dirty, did I mention NOISY.

If you plan on going to the Adrift Hotel to relax.....forget it. I swear they were having a bowling competition above us. I spoke to the manager regarding our dirty room. She had them come and clean it again and the same problems were STILL there after a through cleaning!!!!

Won't return.
After I left they called my house and accused me of taking the shampoo! Weird!

We had a nice time at Adrift, we took our children for Spring Break. The kids had a great time and there was plenty of activites for them to do nearby. They rode bikes, go karts, went horseback riding on the beach. We dined in the restaurant and were not thrilled about their food. The pizzas were good but the other items lacked flavor. We did make a suggestion or two and those were taken and changed right away which was nice. The rooms were great, we really enjoyed the simple style. However, our room did not end up being cleaned daily. We enjoyed being able to grab a coffee in the lobby in the morning and purchasing a bottle of wine to take to our room. We did have a mix up with our payments so we were still being refunded and billed two weeks later. All that to be said we would stay here again. :) Fun place.

Loved the small carbon footprint of this newly renovated building over-looking the ocean. The hotel has an industrial/modern decor that is functional and practical. I enjoyed the simplicity. Everyone was very nice and accomodating. Social atmosphere. Pet friendly and smoke-free.

Room Tip: Top floor will be better for noise. Bring a few tea lights/candles as the room has harsh lighting.

We stayed at the Adrift for Saturday night this weekend and loved the location, how clean the rooms were (important for traveling with a toddler!), and how pet-friendly the whole property was. We were in the "East Building" and the rooms have been updated nicely, however, you can tell that this was a budget hotel that was taken over and redecorated. We did have a really nice oceanview (past the parking lot). The biggest complaint we had was that we only slept for a few hours and were exhausted the whole next day (again, this coming from the parents of a toddler!). The people above us arrived at about 10pm and walked back and forth pretty much all night. They also got up at about 4:30 am and started the "stomp session" again until they left at 7am. My husband sleeps super soundly and he was awake for most of the night too. I doubt they were really doing anything but walking, but I'm guessing it was so loud because there is no sort of padding under the hard floors. We have traveled a lot and have never experienced anything that compares to how loud this was!! We really should have taken the hint when one of the things offered at check-in was earplugs! If it hadn't been so late and required going outside and walking to the main building we would have gotten the stinkin' earplugs around midnight. We want to go back to the Adrift because of all of the positive things, but we won't stay in the East Building again.

I booked a weekend trip for my husband and I to the adrift hotel and spa because I found a good deal on living social. I have mixed reviews about our stay....

Making the reservation for our stay seemed to a challenge as they booked our arrival date incorrectly twice (they kept booking us for the wrong month) so be sure to check the emailed confirmation the send. Once we got it all sorted out and arrive on the correct date they were going to charge us an upgrade fee for booking a room with two beds, which I had not asked for as it was just my husband and I ( in the end we were not charged the added fee).

The location is great, located right on the water, next to the board walk which was nice for morning strolls. and a few blocks from the heart of this tourist friendly town. We loved the decor and vibe that both the hotel and resteraunt was going for, very modern and fun and in pace with the "green" effect they were going for. The hotel had movies and games in the lobby that you could take back to your room, but the selection as VERY limited, and bikes you could use during day. The lobby had coffee and tea always available (there was no coffee pot in the room and it was not until our last morning that we were offered one) and a small selection of beer, wine and snacks for purchase.

The rooms were a good size and clean! However, the walls are paper thin, not only could we hear the neighbor next to us snoring through the night but it sounded like a heard of elephants were above us when people would walk, and we both though the beds were very uncomfortable. The picnic breakfast that the hotel offers is a good idea but you have no choice of what you get and there was not enough food for two, when I asked to have a thermos of coffee sent up with our breakfast there was not enough for two cups and didnt come with cream or sugar. The resteraunt decor fits in with the rest of the hotel and is very romantic as it overlooks the ocean, our waitress at the resteraunt was also very friendly, however the menu is very limited, had there been more options (and some that were not seafood) we would have eaten there our second night.

For the price we paid it was a good value but I think on our next trip to long beach we will shop around for another hotel.

Next to board walk, bike trail, at beach access road. Spent two nights second floor, quiet & clean. Stairs in bldg where we stayed, but other section has elevator. Great coffee & tea at main lobby in morn, games, movies, bikes available ...highly recommend the restaurant/bar pear pizza.,Fort George red ale. There was no light on the bedside clock, so park a small flashlight there if you care to know time at night. The decor is simple, (painting floor to ceiling brown backdrop at tv shelf & beds would hide cords and make room look less blank.
Astoria: Blue Scorch Bakery, Columbia Maritime Museum, views at Cape Disappointment

Room Tip: Second floor..ocean view

Stayed here with a Groupon package deal over a Thursday and Friday night. We were on a trip from Vancouver to Las Vegas and I thought it would be a nice stop along the journey. We travel for about half of the year and appreciate hotels that are environmentally friendly. Our experience was as followings:
Pros:
Friendly staff and willing to help assist to make your stay comfortable. Eco friendly touches (toiletries, furnishing, drinks and snacks, etc.). Free bike rentals on the beautifully paved trails overlooking the ocean, free games and movie rentals for those rainy days, nice hotel views, convenient location to beach and town, nice package of wine and breakfast basket. There's also a spa on premise, however we didn't indulge.
Cons:
We stayed in the separate building overlooking the ocean. On Thursday the rooms on each side of us were empty, but on Friday night they were full. The walls are paper thin and we could hear absolutely everything that they said and did. This kinda spoiled the night for us. Another issue I have is with the bedding, bed, pillows, towels and shower curtain. I thought that they were super cheap quality, not made of organic materials and should be upgraded in the future to reflect the commitment to be a green hotel. (To the owners- Check out the Black Olive Inn in Baltimore, MD to see their LEED certified hotel and examples of room finishes and fixtures. This is a good example of green hotel through and through.)

We also ate at the Depot which was fabulous and I will review this as well. Overall we enjoyed the hotel, ammenities, and the beautiful scenery of Long Beach.
