What a wonderful place. Quaint, clean, extremely well taken care of, not to mention very helpful. These cottages are a 5 min walk to the beautiful beach, boardwalk, shopping and dining. We would definately stay again.

Boardwalk Cottages is a unique accommodation in Long Beach. Located within easy walking distance of the beach, bakery and shopping. This collection of ten cottages completely renovated and restored are a delight. Each are different and can accommodate groups of different sizes. The cottages have a covered porch with table and chairs. Several have kitchens. My wife and I regard it as our vacation cottage at the ocean. Your host and owners Bill and Pat Turner will make your stay a memorable one. Check out their web-sight.

I'm always a bit nervous of the cleanliness of hotels, but this one possibly felt like the cleanest I've ever stayed. The room was cozy but perfect for the two of us. It's an older building but the decorations are minimal and super cute. Didn't hear any of the neighbors during the night and we were close enough to a great organic store and within walking distance to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

There were 7 of us so we had 3 rooms; 2 were just bedrooms but the larger one had a kitchenette. It was quiet, the beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. The beach was just a couple of blocks away. We stayed for 2 nights. Would definitely come back!

I rented a 2 bedroom, off season, mid-week, off the main drag, for $129.00, but then the owner charged me an extra $10.00 for the 3rd person! The cottage was sort of cozy, well stocked, even popcorn, big stacks of fluffy white towels and lovely soaps etc.
Pack earplugs and eye-shields if you stay here...mega-watt porch light that illumenates the cottage, when I mentioned it to the owner she said there was a curtain in a chest to cover the window...even if we had found it it wouldn't have been enough, she should have told us....but not a problem unless someone sleeps on the hide-a-bed in the livingroom, which by the way is comfy! The cottages are really duplexes, and our neighbors were smokers, we couldn't be on our porch ... The duplexes are in a gravel parking lot, no private outside space. Go by the Cottage Bakery to get your morning pastry, the cinnamon rolls given to us were un-edible! We couldn't believe she actually served them to us!

We were so lucky to happen on to this little resort while we were working our way north through Washington in March. After crossing the Columbia River following the Lewis and Clark trail, we were too far from our destination to reach it that night, so we started searching for a place to stay for one night about 4:30 pm. The cottages looked so charming and well-cared for that we wandered into the office and hopefully rang the bell. Pat came right out of her living room to the office with a big smile to greet us. We were offered our choice of rooms ,since March is the off-season, and they were very individualized and beautiful. In the end, we chose the Sandcastle Room for its jacuzi tub, gas fireplace and second floor view. It had a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker, so we could stash some provisions. The bed was a pillow-topped wonder, the decor was Victorian lovely, and everything was squeaky clean. We used the outdoor hottub - such a luxury on a frigid night with a full moon. Our hosts even had bathing suits to borrow, for folks like us who didn't know we'd need one. It is a cozy operation, not small, but contained and private, so I can see why a group of vrooming motorcycles might not fit in, but we absolutely loved the place.

The Boardwalk Cottages was exactly the type of place we wanted to be at while staying in the quaint town of Long Beach. Your first impression of the property is an eye-popping display of colorful flowers on each porch, the porch swings, and the neat, well kept cottages. We stayed in Starfish, and had a lovely view of the garden. The rooms were neat and clean and didn't have an " old cottage" odor. The beds were very comfortable. The area around the bed was a snug, and that was challenging, but that was my only complaint about the whole place. Our hosts had freshly baked pastries for breakfast each morning and the scones were to die for! The cottages' location was walking convenient to shopping, movie theater, go karts and of course the beach. Our kids loved it.
