We went down to Long Beach for a wedding and we were there for one night. The Lighthouse surprised me and my boyfriend. The lighting in the room was amazing at night (It felt very homey), the kitchen was nicely stocked, great view, our bed was soft and fluffy (we slept like babies) overall we want to return for a weekend this fall with the dogs.

The room was really warm but hey it was close to 85 degrees while we where there; be sure to open the windows at night and let the ocean air cool you off.

We would recommend the Lighthouse.

Room Tip: Top Floor! I believe most top rooms have a view of the ocean. It's awesome waking up to the sound of waves crashing.

My husband & I enjoyed one night at the Lighthouse resort. We are on a trip up the peninsula and found this resort via trip advisor. We were very pleased--small condo, lower level, very neat and well appointed. A view of the dunes and a short walk to the beach. If we were to return, we would like an upper floor as the noise from the upper level could have been bad. The walls seem to be a bit thin, but our neighbors were considerate.

Long Beach isn't the easiest place to reach from Seattle, but it is worth the drive. The peninsula is a very special place, especially in the natural setting and wildlife on both the ocean and bay sides. I loved our afternoon visit to Oysterville, which is one of the oldest settled towns in the state. And the seafood here - oysters, clams, crabs - is incomparable.

Lighthouse Resort has a beautiful setting and the ocean front units are arranged in a ziggurat so every unit has a view. The second floor view is a bit better since it sees over the dunes to the ocean, but the first floor is fine too, and a less expensive rate.

The unit was comfortable, particularly the bed and bed linens. The management needs, however, to monitor closely the upkeep of the unit. There were burn marks on the kitchen counter (perhaps recent), the light bulbs could be brighter, and the heating fixtures look worn. There were two mediocre pictures in the living room but the bedroom was a bit stark without anything on the walls. This critique is more a future admonition, since if they don't keep the room appointments updated, the unit quality could decline in future seasons (fix the kitchen counter burn marks!).

Service at the check-in side was excellent, and the Saturday late afternoon wine and cheese social was an unexpected treat. But service for the unit was a bit spotty. Some kitchen items were strangely supplied - like only a single placemat and only three forks. We requested additional towels but were told they were low on the supply and none were provided. They could use fluffier towels too. Again, these are mild warning signs and easily corrected by the resort. Overall, this was a fine accommodation, but the units needs a little tender living care.

We checked in and they had a dog bed ready as well as treats for our dog. The salt water swimming pool is great as well as the hot tub. If I were a tennis player I would have been in heaven as their facility is state of the art and beautiful. There is a pro on staff for lessons. The entire staff was very friendly and full of tips on where to eat and best things to do in town.

Room Tip: The beach in front of the condos is the best beach in Washington.

This hotel is actually a group of condos with an ocean view. There are one or 2-3 bedroom units, each with it's own kitchen and couch with a pull out bed. Each unit also has a living room with a porch and view of the ocean. Easy beach access, just walk across the dunes to a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. My husband and I love long beach and go at least twice a year and we always stay at the lighthouse. There is even a pool and tennis courts and a basket ball hoop. They are also very dog friendly, and what dog doesn't enjoy the beach! I highly recommend this hotel, in any season it is a home away from home.

Room Tip: Pay a little more for the premium ocean view rooms and you won't be disappointed
