“plenty and plenty good”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

i found this place through trip advisor - and we were very happy with our choice. the food was delicious and there was a lot of it. didn't need to have another meal that day! i tasted the strawberry freezer jam that came with my husband's breakfast, delicious! i had their giant dutch pancake - apple, pecan, cinnamon - served with butter, syrup, and whipped cream! didn't need either the butter or syrup…(they have other flavors as well)

the restaurant is large, so in more active seasons, it probably fills up, but we were there at a quiet time and it was charming with locals at adjacent tables. good service - we'd go back if we were in town again.

it's right on the main drag with shops and other businesses up and down the street. also in walking distance to the pioneer museum which is worth a visit.

“Great Breakfast!!!”
Reviewed 16 February 2014 via mobile

Everything was delicious! Friendly service, unique decor. A really nice place. We had biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak, and agreed they were the best we ever had.

“Best breakfast in Washinton!”
Reviewed 14 December 2013

Delicious food! And big portions. I hate it when food is good but small portions and you leave hungry. But this is delicious home cooked food and LARGE portions...enough for us to reheat for breakfast the next morning! After seeing Yelp pictures of the pancakes - we ordered the pecan apple pancake and it was huge! Served with a cup of whipped cream too! We also ordered the ham, bacon, egg & cheese potato hash - so good! Next time we are in the area we're eating here!

“Generous and Tasty”
Reviewed 8 December 2013

My expectations were exceeded when my breakfast, one of the " slightly smaller breakfasts" on offer, was placed before me -- a large serving of delicious hash browns, beautifully scrambled eggs loaded with chunks of tender ham and plenty of mild cheddar cheese, wholegrain toast, and what tasted like homemade strawberry freezer jam! I ate until I could eat no more, and took the rest home, which my husband and I enjoyed the next day, with the addition of another scrambled egg.

This was the "1/2 Ham & Cheddar Scramble" -- I can't imagine how large a plate is necessary to serve the full-size version, listed under "Hearty Breakfasts!"

He had the pancake breakfast -- the biggest pancake we'd ever seen -- with two over-easy eggs and two sausage links, all very tasty.

The service was excellent, and the coffee definitely a cut above that served by most restaurants of this type. We enjoyed looking at the other rooms in the restaurant, each with a unique theme, and will return again for both the excellent food and friendly service.
