I almost hate to recommend HiTides because I'm not sure I want people to know about it! The resort is on a dead end street, so dog owners have little to fear. The units are crisp and have wonderful ocean views. The people who run the resort are very friendly and accommodating--more so than any other spot on the Washington coast. We have been coming to the coast for 13 years and have stayed in many places. From now on, this is our home away from home.

Being able to sleep in and get up whenever is the best feeling in the world, especially when your'e on vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet time together. We decided to have a vacation the both of us wanted and one that could be spent alone on the beaches. It was wonderful to wake up whenever, walk the beaches at our leasure and have them to ourselves to beachcomb. We even enjoyed the freakish hail storm that brushed through one day. If ever there was a place to recommend staying for a couple of days, it would definitely be this place. We have stayed here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed every minute of our stay.

This is the perfect place for families with young children or dogs, or both (like we have!) Before we had kids, we would stay on the upper floor which has great views out at the ocean. Now we find the ground level rooms to be most convenient to get the kids in and out, and get the dog out for potty breaks. We have probably stayed her about 6 times over the years, and had a blast each time!

One thing I love about Hi-Tide is everything works! The TV works, the DVD player works, the kitchen appliances work, the Wi-fi works...unlike a place we stayed at recently in Long Beach WA. We never have to worry about anything!

The grassy area is great for playing and general kid frolicking, and the ocean is a super short walk away. There is a nice walk along a river too, and it is very peaceful with no cars on the beach directly in the immediate vicinty of the hotel, though if you go down aways you can drive on the beach if that is your thing. It is totally NOT our thing, which is why we keep coming back here!

The kitchen makes cooking in very easy and fun. Not much restaurant options around anyway(4-5 if you include restaurants between Moclips and Pacific Beach. Paddie's Perch in Pacific Beach (which has outlived so many restaurants we have seen come and go over the years) has a daunting list of "Do Not" signs spread out over the restaurant. Including a sign on the door stating "No parties over six people". Wow- they don't want business I guess. Lunchtime food is marginal (we have only been there twice, both times just before they close after lunch. Dinners may be better). Better to head down the street to the Falcon's Nest, a glorified drive-thru stand with only 4 tables inside their little restaurant. Their $3 cheesburger blew Paddie's Perch's $6 burger out of the water. Plus they have a wide range of other options, including really awesome shakes.

I love, love, love Hi-Tide. Everyone is so friendly. If you want a place where it is quiet and the folks are friendly, this is it. The property sits on the edge of a forest and river and is literally on the beach. Forget those places where you have to walk a mile just to get to the beach - here you're on the beach. Miles of beach to walk, the river burbling nearby - the complete package.

In addition, the beds are soft and the rooms are immaculately clean; even the kitchens!

We visit the Hi-Tide Resort at least once per year since 2003. It's not only right on the ocean but it still has that secluded feel that many popular spots no longer have. Our dogs LOVE it and they truly have the opportunity to run free without the distraction of so many people. The owners (Karen) at Hi-Tide always remembers us AND our dogs. For a true relaxing getaway with great walking trails, we would recommend the Hi-Tide Resort anytime of year.

We stayed the week before the general Spring Break, so it was very quiet and peaceful. It is a far drive, but well worth it for the getaway. We had a great time just doing a lot of nothing. The owners of the unit we stayed in supplied our every need in the way of cookware and utensils (even the wineglasses), but we did bring our own muffin tin. If you come, all you need to bring is your food and clothes. There were plenty of games and movies and a very large flatscreen TV. They staff supplied a firelog everyday for our evening or morning fire which made it that much more cozy.

Karen (the manager) and her staff were very friendly and helpful, supplying every need, even to clean the windows for our wonderful ocean view.

The walk along the river at low tide was the best. We found real nice natural treasures and even a petrified shark's tooth. You also need to visit the North Beach Museum. They have many treasures and information about the entire north coastal town.

I've also got to comment on the dogs we encountered at the Hi-Tide. Some of them were very large and the most well-behaved I've met in public. Kudos to their "owners". And even though they said there had been dogs in our unit, you would not be able to tell at all. Again, kudos to Karen and her staff.

We've been coming to this resort for almost 20 years. Needless to say we love it. Karen and Staff are simply The Best!!! They all pay attention to detail. I was so pleasantly surprised to find a birthday card signed by all the staff and bottle of Sparkling Cider on the kitchen table upon our arrival. We had come to celebrate my 65th birthday. The oceanfront view from our condo is spectacular and yet we can be on the beach in less than one minute. Now thats what I call Great Beach Access. The condo was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed using the fireplace. Nice ambiance. Also really enjoyed watching the large flat screen TV . Having Wi Fi was
wonderful too. The staff were all very helpful, considerate and sensitive to our needs. We really appreicated the help in getting our luggage upstairs. Karen is very knowledgeable about the area and is genuinely interested in sharring that with you. Also there is a wonderful Information booklet in each condo that gives you alot of information about restaurants, things to do, etc. The casino in Ocean Springs is just about a 20 min drive from the resort. The property area is so serene and peaceful. I highly recommend it. Karen, mgr, is very good at problem solving and eager to help in any way she can to make your stay pleasant and confortable. So now, what are you waiting for??? Call and make your reservation. A great ocean experience is waiting for you. I have traveled all over the USA and other countries as well. Hi-Tide Ocean Beach Resort is one of my favorites in the Pacific Northwest.
