Hi-Tide Ocean Beach Resort
Ranked #3 of 3 Hotels in Moclips
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 10 July 2010

If you are looking for a secluded, relaxing affordable getaway, the Hi Tide has it. Karen, the manager was extremely helpful. The room was very clean and fully stocked with utensils, cleaning supplies, and a firelog. There was a flat screen tv with cable reception so we were able to watch the M's game, but there were plenty of magazines and books stocked in the room as well. The resort sits right on the beach, so it is a short walk to sand and there are fire pits located on the grounds. Please note that there is really nothing in Moclips as far as groceries or real restaurants, so I would recommend stocking up at one of the larger grocery stores in Aberdeen. There is fine dining (we didn't eat there) at the Ocean Crest about a mile away, but other than that it is just pub and a nice little cafe in the new town of Seabrook.

Just a word of advice; this is not a couples style hotel, it is family oriented, so expect large families and kids running all over (we had one family with 12 kids). Overall the noise didn't bother us, but we were gone most of the day and evening, though in the morning it can definitely get a little noisy.

Thier housekeeping apparently doesnt do a hotel style daily cleaning; they just replaced a single towel wet towel and did not do anything more than that (didn't empty the trash cans etc).

Overall a wonderful place

We stayed at Hi-Tide over the 4th of July, what a great place to be for the 4th! This was our second time here and love it even more. This is a great, relaxing place for dog owners to bring their 4 legged friends. Hi-Tide is great at making your pal feel welcome, providing dog treats and towels for cleaning up after a long walks on the beach. It is hard to find a great vacation spot that has it all together...check in, rooms, beach, quiet! Keep up the good work, we will be back!

We've been coming to the High Tide for 30 years. It's always been a fun get-away place. The kids are never bored because there's always something to do. The beach and river access make the High Tide unique and wonderful. Rain or shine, we love it and so does our dog!

We have gone twice now to this hotel. First of all, it is exactly what we want and that is to be right on the beach. We walked the beach and the sunset was gorgious! It's not far from Lake Quinalt and the Rain Forests, which we really enjoyed. It is one of the finest accomodations we've ever had. It was so clean, so comfortable, and accomodating. It was beautiully decorated, full kitchen supplies and we were so happy there was a log available to put on the fire. It's perfect for a family, but for us, it was so relaxing and beautiful and my only regret is...it's so far from Missouri!

We just returned from 3 days at the High Tide and it was our third visit there. We can't wait to go back. It is so relaxing and quiet and peaceful there. Our dogs love the beach and so do we. The units are very nicely appointed, and the kitchens have everything the cook could ever want. The units are quite large and very roomy. Comfortable beds, and the views of the ocean are spectacular. It's a good walk at high or low tide and a very nice walk along the Moclips River, too. When you go, don't expect a lot of amenities in the town. You have to be prepared to drive a few miles to go out to eat a meal or go shopping. We took everything we needed and never moved our car to go anywhere. It is perfectly OK to just stay there in one place for a few days!! We cooked great meals and took long walks and read books and magazines that we'd taken. We even took the time one evening to watch a DVD we'd taken from home. Next time we go, we intend to paint a rock! It is a great place for families with small children because there is enough sand in the dunes to keep them happy while the grownups are bringing up the rear on the way out to the beach. It is just a wonderful place to spend a very relaxing vacation. And our dogs enjoyed the huge biscuits that were provided for them in the basket with beach towels and a welcome note just for them!

Hi Tide is a very family and pet friendly resort in Moclips. All of the rooms have a great unobstructed view of the ocean, and you can see amazing sunsets from the decks. The rooms are nice and well appointed - nothing fancy, but everything you need to prepare meals and relax. If they know you're coming with pets the staff provides dog cookies and towels so you can wipe them off. The hotel is right on the beach, only a 1 minute walk and your toes are in the sand. There's lots of room for kids and pets to run and play. There isn't a lot to do in Moclips (other than relax and get away from it all, that's why you go there!), however Ocean Shores is a 15-20 minute drive, where the nearest grocery store and gas is located. Be mindful that there is little if any cell phone reception in Moclips, however the resort does provide free WiFi internet access.

This place was a pleasure to stay at...it was an easy drive to Ocean shores to enjoy the shops there...It was a very quiet place--never heard the people above us.
I have always wanted to take my dog with me on a trip and this is the one place I could have brought her. And wish I would have. I will stay here again--and I want a delux room..just so I have that extra view of the beautiful beach...
as a side note--the telescope in the room was great to be able to look out and see whales playing in the water...
