When I asked to have a room reserved for 3 nights the following 3 weeks in a row they raised my rate $27 per night stating it was a supply and demand instead of honoring the current rate I was paying.... I will never go back to that Best Western and will inform all of my business partners to do the same

Made a reservation days before. Had a choice of rooms on arrival. Breakfast was great. Attended the contest which was across the driveway in conference building. Checking out was easy and will probably stay again.

If you are looking for the highest end upgrades with the most granite surfaces, don't come here. But if you want a room that is spacious, with some upgrades, a nice large flat screen tv and lots of counter space made of sturdy formica (or arborite if from Canada) then keep reading.
Our room on third floor was large with a sitting area with desk, and sofa that makes into a full bed. King bed was quite comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was nice than many Best westerns, with ham and cheese frittata triangles, seasoned potato pieces, and the other items routinely found (make your own waffles, pastries, breads, granola and cereals, milk and OJ, and one fresh fruit - bananas, if I recall.

My FAVORITE perk of this hotel is that not only do they have a seasonal outdoor pool, they give guests 18 years and older access to the huge next-door fitness centre. There are two huge levels of gym equipment, along various classes going on some of which such as aquarobics were offered us. But what we have used the most is the olympic-sized pool for lap swimming, as well as the steam sauna and dry sauna. They also have a large hot tub. Make sure to take picture ID plus room key; check with the center's staff as to what times are less busy, as local folks come early for squash, work outs and swims.
When we stayed here in the late summer, we loved being able to go follow the good weather: inland where it was warm and sunny to a winery near Concrete WA when it was foggy by the coast, then coming back played slots for a while at the Skagit casino, then over to La Conner by the water for beautiful sunset dining, gorgeous scenery and strolls through the lovely town. After that we returned to Mount Vernon for old an fashioned ice cream experience at the Big Scoop Sundae Palace. What a perfect day with so MUCH to see and do!

At our most recent stay this winter, we enjoyed being able to use the fitness centre to exercise "to our heart's content", then doing shopping at mall, big stores and small outlets nearby.

We'll be back- most likely next time will be for tulip viewing / festival sometime between April 1 - 30. But if you want to do this, better make reservations soon!

Room Tip: Top floor. DON'T be surprised when the whole big building seems to shake - it is most likely the...

Stayed in Mt. Vernon the night before my marathon in nearby Sedro-Woolley. The compound looks large with a separate conference facility, and the lobby is huge, and slightly empty feeling. But the check-in staff were quick and efficient and there were warm, fresh cookies on the counter!

My room was on the top floor which had an extremely wide hallway with very high ceilings. The room itself was nice and large, very clean and well-maintained, and had a large flat-panel tele with too many channels to actually scroll through!

The bed had nice linens covering a comfortable mattress with plenty of pillows. The clock-radio had an option to play pre-recorded sounds (ocean waves, birds chirping, etc.) which could be nice, and I had a good sleep to set up my race.

Breakfast offered a bountiful selection of egg, waffle, sausage, cereal, pastry, etc. No reason to go hungry.

In summary, a very pleasant place to put in for the night.

We were in town for my daughter's soccer game and stayed at this hotel. My husband is picky about hotel room beds, but was very comfortable in this hotel. We had 4 people in 2 queen beds and everyone was able to sleep comfortably. We did not experience any problems at all, even with the hotel being under construction.

Its not a bad place to be in a motel. The only problem is the bed being too high and its not good for safety. We had to ask for a stool to have my wife climb and come down from the bed. Even with the stool it was a dangerous situation because one could trip and fall.

I was very pleased with the service and help from the front desk personnel. They were friendly and were helpful to me in assisting with printing and photocopying papers I needed for a seminar/workshop. The cleaning staff was accommodating for a late check-out, which we appreciated. The room was in great shape, and our experience for the stay we rate as excellent.
