“Strange, but good food”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

Hard to tell if the Chef has a mental problem or if it's an act, but he is a one man show. The restaurant is in a warehouse, has plastic table clothes, paper napkins, flowers and candles (wrapped in tinfoil). Do-not-touch notes are scotch-taped to the flower pot and candle. The dinner is a four-course meal including a salad plate, soup, main dish (of which you have a choice) and a dessert. You pay upon arrival. If you plan on having two glasses of wine, be sure to include with your upfront payment. The food is quite good and beautifully presented. However, I had lamb which was cooked well done. I would probably describe the place as French influenced, but tacky. Very good value for money!

“Worth the drive!”
Reviewed 25 January 2014

This restaurant is located in a Mukilteo warehouse park. Not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is pleasant. It's call the Grouchy Chef because the chef (who does everything) has rules. Reservations only! You can't eat without prior reservations! No substitutions! When the chef comes around with the cart to take payment, place the cash in the tray. Don't clink the fine crystal glasses together and chip them. Practice good table manners. It's not for everybody, but the food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered delicious and reasonably priced wine from the wine list. The food was excellent and elegantly prepared. I want to go back soon! I would suggest that this would be fine for well-behaved middle school children. But at least in the USA, many little kids are way too picky and rambunctious to sit politely through a several course meal.
