“Wonderful experience”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

This museum is first class all the way. The staff is friendly, the displays are amazing, and the gift shop carries locally made craft items. It was educational and interesting, the longhouse was worth the visit itself! I usually lose interest before I'm all the way through a museum, but not here. The displays kept my interest throughout. The whaling canoes were beautiful!

“Very Well Done!”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

What a surprise! Great exhibits give you a very good idea of the rich and sophisticated lives of the Makah prior to western intrusions. The Makah should be very proud. This is a must see if you are anywhere near Neah Bay.

“Well worth the time!”

Be prepared to spend at least an hour in the museum. The history of the Makah people is very interesting. Amazing how they used everything in their surrounding to create clothing, tools, fish hooks, spears, arrows ... just an amazingly creative people.

“Nice to learn about history”

Spent 45 minutes viewing all the history and artifacts. The struggles and way of life. Purchased our parking permit so we could hike the Cape Flattery Trail

“Fascinating History”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

A well spent $5 for admission. This tasteful display was very interesting. Local Indian artifacts excavated from an old mudslide tell a fascinating story. Allow at least an hour to absorb all the information. The size of the longhouse replica surprised us.
