While visiting a friend in the Seattle area, she recommended that we hike up to Rattlesnake Ledge, promising that the view from the top would be worth it. She was not wrong. Like many places, it was a good thing we arrived earlier than 10am as we managed to get the last parking spot in the parking lots and avoid all the people that were hiking up later on. The hike up is about 2 miles and it wasn't too bad as it has a lot of switchbacks. It does get narrow in places so you have to let people pass coming the other direction. Once we got to the top, we realized how popular this hike it as it was crowded. From the top, we had an excellent view of Rattlesnake Lake. From there you could continue onto Peak Point, which was another 5 mile round trip. We stopped for a snack and some photos and decided to head back down. That's when we realized just how popular and busy this trail was. On the hike down, we had to continually pause as there were hundreds of people hiking up the trail. At one point is seemed like it was just a long train of non-stop people hiking up. All-in-all, it was a good hike and would recommend it, but you definitely have to show up early in the morning, especially on the weekend.

Rattlesnake Lake Recreation is a must see when you're in North Bend Washington. There are so many trails for hiking and biking and then of course rattlesnake ledge which is about it our all uphill but once at the top the views are phenomenal. The lake is awesome for kayaking tubing boating with a trolling motor. We frequent this area as often as we can.

The Rattlesnake Lake Recreation area and the adjoining Cedar River Watershed Education Center are not to be missed. Hiking trial around the lake and up to the top of Rattlesnake are nice hikes some hildren can ,are. The trails near the lake are flat and easy. Adjacent trails include the Iron Horse Trail and Snoqualmie Valley trailheads. Enjoy the beauty of the Snoqualmie Valley fro the top! Discover pass parking in main lots and free park on street is limited. Buy the pass!
