If you're looking for a great place to visit on Whidbey Island when it's cold out, and especially if you like history, then this museum is a 'must.' It's a little hard to find, and be prepared to show your driver's license and registration to get on the naval base--but it's worth it. Our guide, Will, took us on a great tour. We all learned so much about WWII and what it was like in battle. There's also a flight simulator, and fun juke box. The tour is free, but they do take donations--which we were happy to give!
