Lots of stuff to look at and learn about. The staff was very friendly. Take the nature trail hike, too.

It is an all ages interactive center. Most of the items inside have been washed up on the shores. There is also a room that tells you history of the city, and the surrounding waters. I found it to be fun, intriguing and a knowledgeable trip.

Wonderful, friendly, and very knowledgeable volunteers. However, we were only asking directions to Damon's Point, but the man managed to guide us through several of the rooms, and would not let us leave without describing multiple things to us. We though it was done to 'guilt us' into paying the $5.00 each suggested donation fee (which we did not give). Would be much better situated near downtown, but he said they prefer it 'way out here, by the water'. Oh well.

We were told about this place and had some free time so we went to visit. There are many rooms with all kinds of things to read and learn about and some helpful volunteers that can answer any questions. Might be a good place to take some kids that aren't too young. We found it very interesting to learn about the shipwrecked ships and the tsunami history. You can learn about different animals too. Fun place to visit if you have an hour or two. It is free but with a suggested donation. There is a neat beach access nearby also with whole shells also!
