The Olympia Famers Market is a wonderful place to go for music, crafts, fresh produce, meant, fish, bread and pastries and for just seeing people. During the rain you can comfortably shop under the shelter of the building and during the performances there is a covered location for eating and enjoying the music. Couldn't get any better. open 10-3 from Thursday--Sunday.. Wonderful destination for families.

“PNW Bounty - don't miss this”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 October 2013

I purchase the bulk of my fruits and veggies from farmer's markets all over the Pacific Northwest. However I make an effort to drive down to Olympia (1 hour drive south from Seattle) since this is a permanent market - with the exception of several winter months. Free parking is plentiful and a bathroom is provided, something not all markets provide. The fresh, local fruits and veggies can't be beat. My favorite bread is purchased from the Blue Heron Bakery. Their sourdough apricot walnut bread is pure heaven. Plus I always dine at Dingey's. Enjoy a waffle for breakfast but don't forget to pick up their salmon chowder, the best I've ever had. Seriously. But please leave some for me! This market is a wonderful place to visit in Olympia.

“Wonderful little market!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

Perfect size (not overwhelming; not loud). Great selection of fruit if visiting Olympia, basically downtown. Ample 'free' parking. Clean. Fruit is outrageously huge in a good way. If in the area, stop and have a taste.
If local to the PNW on a day/weekend trip, they have a great selection of vegetables, fresh cut meat booth (read: long line!) and flowers to take back home.
For all, they have crafts, bakeries, food and entertainment.
It's a nice stop in downtown Olympia.

Time needed: 1-2 hours
Cost: free
Parking: free, ample, lot at market
Food/beverage: available
Facilities: available
Random: easy to locate; non-issue with GPS

“Nice selection and Great hours!”

This Farmer's Market was great because it was open Thurs, Fri, Sat, (not sure about Sun) and open until 3 pm. Our Market is only open on Sat. until 2 (in Idaho). They had a great selection of fruit, veggies, baked goods, honey, jewelry, etc. We also had lunch there at the Bratwurst stand and it was good too. Found the best Macaroons I've ever had (better than Godiva!) at the San Francisco Bakery in the Market. They had a great selection of other cookies as well. Definately go back!

“Farmers market done right”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2013

Olympia did their farmers maket just right. Just the right size with a mix of meat, vegetables, crafts, food, music and if you want you can get your palm read. One place you should eat at is Dingey's in the market. They serve a crab cake eggs benedict. Instead of the canadian bacon, the eggs are over a crab cake. We got there about 9am and there was a line forming for breakfast. The market is a must go while in Olympia..
