We have had a membership to this kids museum for 2 years now. It is a beautiful facility and is easy to get to off I5. Our now 4 and 6 yr olds love going here. There are lots of fun, hand-on educational activities in a large space so even when it is crowded, it isn't too bad. There are things to climb on, a fun water table, a play stage, an art room, construction room and most popular with our kids, the wind tubes, just to name a few of the activities. Their yearly Sand in the City free (though they ask for a donation of $5 per family) outdoor festival (in Aug) is awesome and this winter we attended the New Year's Eve day event, which was a big hit with our kids. I recommend going on a non-holiday weekday if you really want to avoid the crowd.
