The Oyster house burned down last year. There is currently no activity visible for rebuilding. It was great while it lasted,

I loved the fish tacos, and my son loved the Clam Chowder. We are happy to see the reconstruction of our favorite Oly seafood restaurant.

This iconic restaurant was destroyed by a fire, but is in the process of being rebuilt at this time. We look forward to its reopen ing.

This review is moot at this point as the restaurant has burned down. IF they reopen I hope they have better food, better service, and much better management. Imagine have a nice quiet dinner on a Sunday evening while a staff member ran the carpet sweeper beside your table for 4 minutes! Then, try getting the check when all staff had disappeared into the kitchen for a full 10 minutes. This was nothing but a tourist trap in a nice location.

It's burned to the ground now, though I understand they tend to re-open eventually. It's one of those waterside restaurants that gets to skate on its location. The owners' previous experience with restaurants was managing a Dairy Queen. The cartoony decor and ubiquitous televisions are testament to a design sensibility that I find off-putting at best. The food is just mediocre. A fine place to meet with co-workers on a warm Friday for outdoor drinks and appetizers, but otherwise I avoid it.
