I have been to the New Moon Cafe a few times now, visiting family in Olympia. I have mixed feelings about it. I have always enjoyed the food, and my daughter is crazy about the Blackberry French Toast, which is indeed good. I have also enjoyed their oatmeal with fruit and their version of an egg mcmuffin, the Halo sandwich was delicious. My husband always has the blueberry pancakes and devours them. The coffee is very good (if you like strong coffee) and the service, as has been reviewed is friendly and earnest, as it is a co-operative. On the downsides, in the winter the small room can be uncomfortable - either near-the-heater-hot or wear-your-jacket cold. As one other reviewer mentioned, a trip to the restroom can be an eye opener and dampen one's experience. Finally, one often has to wait for a table, which is fine, but we recently experienced waiting about 45 minutes, outside, when a group of 3 walked in off the street, and we were told they had "called in", something they allow "regulars" to do. Did not make one feel welcome. As I said earlier though, when were seated and had our breakfasts, the meal was very good.
