A little off the beaten track, but this park is a great place to see real big trees for an afternoon hike. Great summertime camping as well.

“Wonderful Place to Camp & Swim”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2011

We stayed in campsite 13 & 15. 13 was really small but 15 was a normal - big site so it worked out. I was worried about being too close to the restroom, but they really weren't.
There are lots of tall trees (but hardly any grass), 2 showers in the restrooms, the volunteer host couple was really nice, the walking trails and lake were amazing. Our group went swimming and rented some kayaks and canoes, which were $10 for an hour. The downside is there isn't a lot of parking and the roadway is super bumpy.

“Fellow Camper Fake Camp Employee”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2011

On 06/28/2011, at 9:30am, we received the shock of our lives! While I was sitting outside at the table, a man approached our campsite in a camp "volunteer" vest. He stated that we were in the wrong space and needed to move, not later but N-O-W, even though he saw us last night. It did not matter that the space was paid for by drop-box as he said this was "invalid". He was totally hostile and verbally abusive! Come to find out from REAL park attendants this man was NOT an employee but someone who liked to impersonate government employees. This park has alot to offer but not when terrorists are around!

“A nice gettaway from the busy city life”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2009

Millersylvanin is a nice place to camp, fish and have family get togethers. There is alot of area to roam, there are many trails through the outerlned forest (including a 3-4 mile hiking trail), Big lake with a concession stand for your paddleboat rentals/Boat rentals, a long dock to do some fishing, and many campsites covered by tall native trees.
