“Great food, great wine, great service”

Everything here was delicious. The atmosphere was elegant without being stuffy. The seafood martini was wonderful and they were running a special - free cheese plate with the purchase of a bottle of wine!

“Olympia is known for average to mediocre restaurants”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

Based on their seafood platter, I fail to see the high reviews given by fellow diners. The coating was crisp, but flavorless. My home cooking is better than this. The service was average at best. Eating outside, overlooking the wharf, is a nice experience however. The wine list could use some professional help.

“A Very Special Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

Not sure about this being a "Bistro" as there is nothing moderate about the Dockside. The location is prime, as is the menu, wine selection, presentation and service. This is an excellent place to dine and ALL our entrees were plated/presented well. The only minor critique came from those who ordered the pistachio "crusted" halibut ... there was no crust and little of the promised pistachio flavor imparted to the perfectly cooked fish.

The wine selection was impressive albeit overpriced, as were the entrees ... something that if made more "moderate" might fit a "Bistro" definition. That said - we'll be back. This restaurant rates many return visits.

“Great Place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2014

Went there last evening (for the first time) for my birthday ,we were a party of 8.
We were served fresh hot bread with a olive oil dip right after we placed our drink order. The bread was very good and they put more on the table when they saw that one of the little loafs was gone. Very attentive staff! The food was excellent, can't praise it enough. I had the Tenderloin and it was so flavorful and tender, tried the Halibut of my husbands plate (again very good) and the Duck of my sons plate ( wonderful)! We also had dessert and once again, it was very very good (Creme Brûlée, Bread pudding and a chocolate dessert drink that was out of this world)! The water was refilled several times without having to ask and the relaxed ambience made us feel comfortable to laugh and chat. When the check came they had removed the charge for my glass of wine because of my birthday! I thought that was very nice :)
