“Fabulous Golf Get-Away!”
Reviewed 17 September 2012

12 friends + September weekend + two quad casitas + two rounds of golf = terrific time!
Smooth & efficient check in with Shannon, unload the cars and relax. Both units were clean and the kitchens were well stocked. The golf course and the resort lodge are now each under separate ownership, but this would be oblivious if you didn't already know the fact. Pro Shop staff were equally efficient and friendly. Hot tub was hot and most appreciated after a golf game. Love the setting of this property. Individual wall a/c in bedrooms and living areas.

Room Tip: Look for the Bray's Landing sign to make your left turn if you are Southbound on #97. The golf...

Fun to play 1st hole to last. Fairways are wide and the balls sat up nicely. The greens are large and ran true, almost no ball marks on the green but they held and left one each time so a thank you to those who repairs theirs. The water hazards were a little on the low side if they were filled it would look nicer. Would like to come back and stay at the Lodge as our day was too short (2.5 Hr drive both ways from Penticton) Very quiet area too, We will return. Only strange thing was 2 of the holes have womens greens 100 yards short of the mens green that was over a gully. A bit confusing for the first time player.

I was blown away when we stayed here for a wedding last weekend. We had a small one bedroom with a fireplace, 2 tvs, little kitchen with ss appliances and granite tile. Dishwasher, washer, dryer, patio and huge bathroom. The views are amazing and the warm, dry climate is a true treat. The restaurant is across the parking lot and was great--- American pub style (ceasar salad, sandwhiches, burgers, fish tacos). The lodge and restaurant were immaculate and the staff was easygoing and friendly. We paid $110 a night for all this. Literally, we are going back in 2 weeks.

Room Tip: Lower units have back doors on the living room and bedrooms. Just step outside to relax on the patio...

Our retired senior foursome played Desert Canyon's Golf Course in June and it was an awesome course. We had great weather - in the 80s and very sunny while it was raining in Seattle. What a difference a very hours over the mountains make. The course was in great shape - we had a 12:30pm tee time and there was hardly anyone on the course. The fairways were in very good condition and the greens were great- even a little too fast!. We had great service at the Pro shop and the round was really enjoyable. The views from the course are awesome. If you are in the area and you enjoy golf - you must play Desert Canyon!!

We stayed in a small one-bedroom unit on July 4 so that we could visit relatives camping near Lake Chelan. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. I thought it was a bargain for $100 a night! I loved the lodge-like decor. The bed was only a full size, but that's probably the only size that would fit in the bedroom. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the golfers on the fairway. The front desk lady was kind, helpful and friendly. We ate lunch at the restaurant and it was delicious. We also golfed the putting course and had a blast. I highly recommend this resort for a quiet, low-key relaxing vacation in the warm eastern Washington sunshine.

We stumbled acroos this resort by accident but had an outstanding trip. We checked in and the first thing the kids wanted to do was go swimming. I let them go "wait" for me outside while we got settled in, another guest that was in the pool area which was gated and locked let the kids into the pool. My 5 year old son was a little to excited and ran and jumped right in to the deep end of the pool. He's just learning how to swim and a lady that was in the pool area jumped right in fully dressed to get him out. She reacted so quickly the other parents said they didn't know what to do. She got him out of the pool and made sure he was ok. By this time I had heard all the noise and ran over to find her sitting with him soaking wet making sure he was ok while my daughter ran to get me. The pool does have a sign up that states there is NO lifegaurd on duty. But the Shannon whom I later found out was the manager didn't hesitate to jump in and save my son. We are so greatful for her being around!! She went out of her way to make sure the rest of our stay was outstanding even giving the kids pool toys to play with so my son wouldn't be to scared to go back in the pool. We know it wasn't her "job" to save him but we are thankful she acted so quickly and did. We even offered to pay for her cloths which I'm sure were ruined but she wouldn't take anything from us and simply replied she was just doing her job. Besides that we had a great stay in a very confortable room with everything you could possible need to enjoy a family trip. We were shocked to see that the unit's were set up just like our home with everything you need provided. The price was VERY affordable and even allowed us to stay and extra day which the family loved. All of the stafff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable but we fell Shannon went above and beyond to make us welcome even helped plan our day's activity's for us. We travel all over and never recived such person care or treatment as we did while we were there. We would highly recommend this resort to everyone!! We are already plannig another trip over ths summer. Thank you again Shannon and your staff for making this such a great trip for us!!!

Room Tip: All rooms face right out to the beautiful golf course. We had a ground floor right by the pool which...

We just returned from a four night stay at the Desert Canyon Lodge. It simply doesn't get any better! Nice property, competitive price, and great service. Shannon was excellent in every way and took extra care to ensure our stay was positive. Thanks Shannon!

We played the course three days in a row. As usual, it was impeccably groomed and the people in the clubhouse, snack bar, and restaurant were simply outstanding. However, be warned: Be sure to book early T-times as the afternoon is usually very windy and VERY slow. You just can't beat this resort.

Room Tip: Opt for the larger one bedroom... it's worth the extra bump in the rate to have a little breathi...
