“Delightful village full of everything needed for an awesome vacation on the Pacific!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We have enjoyed three summer weeks with our three grandchildren at Seabrook and will probably go again this summer. The cottages are clean, comfy and well furnished with all of the amenities we need. We have taken our three grandchildren with us and have felt very safe letting them roam the neighborhood on their bikes and scooters, meeting and playing with other children. There are lots of places to walk and bike and many outdoor activities. The indoor pool is great for the whole family and the summer evening marshmallow roasts are great fun.
We have enjoyed the accessibility to the uncrowded beach, though the 90+ stairs down and up could be challenging for some people. There is a good restaurant on site and a small store for essentials, though it is wise to shop for groceries for a family on the way. We always stop in Aberdeen at a full supermarket to stock up for the week.

Seabrook is a small town established in 2003. 2 streets make up this quiet town( if I may dare to call it so). The cottage rentals own a nice set of homes suitable for couples and families. My fiancé and I went here for a weekend and rented a sea facing cottage. The cottage had plenty of amenities - multiple TV units , DVD players , washer dryer, cycles , beach towels and a full kitchen. We played in the water although we felt a little cold initially. Not many options for vegetarian dining. Overall we loved our stay and wouldn't mind going back if there are other activities there in the near future. Cheers.

We keep going back to Seabrook because the cottages are very clean, well-appointed with up-to-date furnishings (spotlessly clean fridge!), and dog friendly. Seabrook has convenient beach access (91 steps down to the shore or a second, somewhat steep, uneven path), a small town-like atmosphere with a cute Saturday market during the summer, restaurant, wine bar, outdoor pizza oven/shop, a small grocery and some other retail shops. Plus, Seabrook is situated close enough (15-20 minutes drive) to Ocean Shores for a larger grocery store and a larger variety of restaurants.

Our stay this past weekend was a great way to get away from an inland heat wave. It was at least 20 degrees cooler than what it was in the greater Seattle area! Even though it's usually just the two of us with our 65 pound Labrador retriever, we rent one of the 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottages with full kitchens, fireplace and front porch. It's much easier to have everything on the same floor for schlepping in groceries and just in case we need to take the dog for a walk later in the evening.

Tips: If you're going to cook/use the kitchen, take a small selection of your own kitchen knives with you, plus a fry pan, Tupperware or Ziploc bags if you want to save any leftovers, paper napkins, and a couple of extra dish towels if you're staying more than a couple of days. Yes, the units have these things, but we've learned the hard way that the knives and fry pan have been useless or unusable in every unit we've rented. And take your own Coffee, as the selection at the store was slim and expensive. Take marshmallows to roast at the outdoor fireplace - a great way to break the ice with your neighbors!

Room Tip: The cottages with the enclosed back porch are great if you are traveling with a dog.

We stayed at A Whale of an Adventure at Seabrook on Pacific Beach and all 9 of us absolutely loved it!! The quaint little village has eye candy every time you turn a corner (a photographers dream). Casey, who designed Seabrook has done an amazing job of making it an enchanting place to stay. A few of us went on the hour tour he gives on Saturday and really enjoyed learning how he came up with the concept and what the future holds. The house was large enough that we weren't bumping into each other and it fit most of us at the large dining table. Upstairs has a wonderful rumpus room with a huge U shaped sectional that we used for our game night. The older kids enjoyed using the hot tub both nights and even played shuffle board in the park. We loved hanging out at the beach just across the little two lane highway and the babies enjoyed the play area with swings and toys. They have a number of fun areas to explore like the old stump that has been hollowed out for a house and the cool walk down to the sand dunes. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer ~ as it was we didn't even get a chance to use the indoor pool. All of us are hoping to make it a yearly tradition.

We rented this Seabrook beach house for 3 nights. We chose this property because of the fenced "dog run/yard". The dog area was so overgrown with weeds that our small dogs would not use it. They were not Happy as a Clam Out of Africa! The hardwood floors inside our unit were heavily soiled. I wiped up a water spill from the floor and black dirt came up with it. The shower was pathetic. It was a very fine, fanned out spray that did not provide enough water to rinse out my hair. I had to wash my hair in the kitchen sink. There are two entry doors with large glass windows in them, without blinds. So much for privacy. The front door had a keypad lock entry, the back door next to the driveway had a regular lock. We were not given a key for the back door, so we had to enter and exit only from the front. Not so convenient. Lastly, quiet hours of 10:30 pm to 8:30 am don't apply to staff or construction crews. The golf carts staff run around on are noisy. If you want to sleep in, bring your ear plugs. On a positive note the beds were very comfortable, as was the living room furniture. Our kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. For the price of nearly $1100.00 I would have expected better.

Room Tip: Several parts of the community are under construction. Inquire about the proximity of construction...

Spent a long weekend at the Heritage House. Very comfortable, clean, well furnished and equipped for a group of 10. Very easy checkin and welcome. First house had a problem and the staff took care of it right away and switched us. Nice having provided bikes to ride, Direct TV and WiFi. Beautiful hot tub and deck for lounging as well as a nice front porch with rockers to sit out on. Across from park and pool, walk to the beautiful beach - perfect for a family reunion with small children, parents and grandparents. Kids play room on the third floor with 3 single beds were a hit with the children.

We recently rented Life is Good, it is a small cottage with a private spa in the back. It is hard to review for me because what they advertised is what they delivered. But it was not really for us. The cottages are well equipped with dishes and gadgets. Nice linens, flat screen tv, and 2 person spa. It is a little bit longer walk than we expected to the beach, there is construction all over the complex with workers working on Saturday and Sunday. It was a nice getaway but I am not sure if we would return if the opportunity presented itself.
