“The most amazing town ever!”
Reviewed 29 August 2014

Seabrook is such an amazing town, it has many things to do for kids and adults, in the town there is a cute grocery store with everything you need in it, a paint the pottery shop which has low prices for great paints and pottery and the very best service, they were so friendly there especially to me and my sister, they acted like family :), they also have a pet shop with adorable little things for pets and humans and they have some great back to school stuff there, they have a spa incase you need to relax, and last but not least the best pizza ever! When you come to Seabrook you definitely need to try this pizza, it's amazing! The houses there are amazing and they are pet friendly also! They have a big field where your kids can play, a park, a dog park, a horse barn (my absolute favorite), and an indoor pool! And don't forget the bonfire spots by the field! The last thing to do there is the beach, you can go swimming and take a long walk on the beach, it is an amazing sight. I would definitely reccomend coming to Seabrook, it is the most amazing town I have ever been to!

We love Seabrook, WA... While we jokingly refer to it as the Stepford Wives Town, we still truly love it. We have found it to be just the place to unplug with friends, enjoy each others company in homes that are large enough to support 3 families with children. We have always rented homes here that can fit us all comfortably. The owners of these homes always provide plenty of activities from bikes for outside, to board games and video games.

Keep in mind this is not a high activity vacation. There's not a lot of things spread around to entertain you. This is a vacation of re-connecting with your friends and family. Putting away the phone, computer and other electronics. Enjoying the old tradition of the entire family making a meal together.

We go on walks, we swim in the great indoor pool, we hike, we hang out on the beach and just enjoy the view.

I'm a Travel Agent and am well versed in destinations around the world. Seabrook is honestly in my list of top places in the world to visit.

Room Tip: You rent a home, not a hotel room. They have a variety of sizes available from 1 bedroom homes up to...

We stayed here for one week. In my opinion, it was about 4 days too long. We are a family of five with three teenage daughters. There was little for them to do. I can see the appeal this "town" could have for families with little ones. There is the indoor pool, the ability to bike around town, and the beach on nice days. My daughter's did go to the pottery shop, and would go down to the beach, but there was no activities really for them at Seabrook, Pacific Beach, and they were not interested in Ocean Shores.

Our family also has two dogs that we took because we booked a "pet friendly" house. While there, we had planned on taking the dogs to the beach multiple times a day (even with the 90 plus steps up and down). This did not happen because the house we rented (Forrest Echo) had no way of rinsing the dogs off outside. Sure there was an outside shower, but the shower head was fixed to the side of the house, and there was no hose. We inquired at the rental office and was told sorry we don't have any to give out. We went to a hardware store and bought our own. There was only one dog towel here as well. All in all not very dog friendly. The staff at the little grocery store and barista stand were not very friendly. They made little eye contact and would often not greet you when you entered their establishment. Clearly they either do not understand the concept of customer service or just don't care.

The house was overall fine and met our basic needs, however the two twin beds were so worn that you could feel the coil springs and the second bedroom had a very thin mattress on it. The only decent bed was the master bed.

I have written many reviews for other attractions, restaurants, and vacation rentals/hotels, and this is the first time I have given such a poor review to an establishment. Seabrook was a big disappointment to our entire family. As I titled this review ... not sure what all the fuss is about. We will not go back.

My husband and I enjoyed a recent four-day beach escape and rented a cottage at Seabrook. We found the cottage generally comfortable with the exception of the sagging couch and a poorly flushing toilet. The kitchen was well-equipped. We found a variety of trails leading to the beach and tried a different one each day. Along the way, we met a friendly owner who told us about the wildlife in the area. On the beach, we observed the work of a father and son made sand sculptures of a turtle, octopus, and a shark with razor clam teeth. Wonderful. In the small shopping area, we enjoyed an afternoon break at the wine and cheese shop. Excellent wine and cheese selections and friendly, prompt service. During the summer, there are a lot of families visiting. We were concerned to see a lot of children riding bicycles in the streets and on the sidewalks without a care of oncoming cars and pedestrians. Although Seabrook seems to be a safe and friendly place, children would be well-advised to take care on the streets and leave the sidewalks to pedestrians. For a quieter stay, visit Seabrook off-season.

Room Tip: There are a variety of cottage rentals--for couples and for families. See the website for your best...

We stayed in the Sea to Shining Sea carriage house for $293/night including taxes & fees. The bikes that were supposed to be available for our use were non-existent. Every bit of decor from the furniture on down to the utensils and stuffed animal on the bed were Ikea. I have nothing against Ikea, but for what we paid, I expected a much higher quality. Note to owners: cheap Ikea couches break down quickly with heavy use, the one in your unit was horribly uncomfortable.

Also, the lack of vanity in the bathroom is a real pain, as is the shower size/layout. It was impossible to turn on the shower without getting water on the bathroom floor.

As for the Seabrook community, it was interesting. I can see how people who live in the city would be enchanted with the movie-set, Pleasantville, pretend town. It just isn't our thing. I don't know if the store is owned by Seabrook or privately, but the Daria-esque clerk totally ruined the vibe they're going for. No hello, no thank you, no words except for what I owed for the Aleve.

We don't mind paying a premium price for our vacation rentals, we just expect to get a premium experience in exchange. From the Ikea-house to the large distance to the beach, this wasn't it.

We have enjoyed three summer weeks with our three grandchildren at Seabrook and will probably go again this summer. The cottages are clean, comfy and well furnished with all of the amenities we need. We have taken our three grandchildren with us and have felt very safe letting them roam the neighborhood on their bikes and scooters, meeting and playing with other children. There are lots of places to walk and bike and many outdoor activities. The indoor pool is great for the whole family and the summer evening marshmallow roasts are great fun.
We have enjoyed the accessibility to the uncrowded beach, though the 90+ stairs down and up could be challenging for some people. There is a good restaurant on site and a small store for essentials, though it is wise to shop for groceries for a family on the way. We always stop in Aberdeen at a full supermarket to stock up for the week.

Seabrook is a small town established in 2003. 2 streets make up this quiet town( if I may dare to call it so). The cottage rentals own a nice set of homes suitable for couples and families. My fiancé and I went here for a weekend and rented a sea facing cottage. The cottage had plenty of amenities - multiple TV units , DVD players , washer dryer, cycles , beach towels and a full kitchen. We played in the water although we felt a little cold initially. Not many options for vegetarian dining. Overall we loved our stay and wouldn't mind going back if there are other activities there in the near future. Cheers.
