Best in town, exemplary customer service...will be sad when we heard Brewsters was closing. Scott, (Brewsters chef), was VERY talented, and will miss his cooking.

Thank Scott J

Love this place. Family run. Heritage building has wonderful decks for summertime meals. My favorites? Freshly baked morning muffins, crab burger and addictive fries for lunch and a dinner special like halibut with Agridolce sauce...all good! Great wines at reasonable prices. And beach cottage giftware. What's not to like?

I knew Brewster's was sold sometime last year and wanted to return based on customer's reviews.
So sad as it seems the new owners, Richard and Sandra, only had enough money to purchase the restaurant, and not the ability to maintain it. The linen napkins were ratty with fraying edges, holes, and showing faded in spots. They don't even change their table linens for each customer, just a quick shake to remove the crumbs and then flipped it over to hide any marks left from the previous customer. Except for the table linens without marks, they just received a quick shake. Chipped mugs and creamers along with stains or just not washed properly, with very worn plates cover with black scratches made this restaurant unappealing.
We waited one hour for our entrees in a very empty restaurant. They owners try to kept it the same way when Joan, the previous owner, ran this what used to be a bustling and incredible restaurant. Our food came out lukewarm and over salted. The food fell short in every way. Maybe I shouldn't compare this restaurant when the previous owner wowed me with her food and service but I could stop noticing all the deficiencies.
We sat out on the deck on very chilly day and were told we couldn't sit inside because there were no tables. During the time we spent there (one hour and forty-five minutes) many of the inside tables never filled. They offered blankets which they ran out of for the other guests. Remember they weren't busy. So we sat at our table with an umbrella without a bottom stand to kept it securely in place that just flopped around according to the direction of the wind. Not an enjoyable way to dine.
The menu looked so hopeful online and I planned to bring more people to this restaurant on my next visit. I will return to Point Roberts but I will never return to this restaurant.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review - All feedback is greatly appreciated.

We are equally disappointed that our food and service did not live up to your expectations on your visit.

We do apologize that the sunny weather did not arrive until early afternoon. Your reservation request was to sit outside for Mothers Day Brunch, and as the restaurant was fully booked, we could not move you to an inside table.

Regarding your review mentioning over salted food - mistakes do happen, for which we of course apologize, and your food would have been replaced immediately had you advised us of your dissatisfaction at the time, ensuring a much more pleasant experience for you, which is of course our ultimate aim.

Ours certainly is an old and historic building and does present its own set of problems which we do our best to address.
As for the decor, we are very proud of our unique look but of course, understand that not everyone will feel the same.

We can assure you that we most certainly do not rest on the reputation of Brewster’s and continually strive to maintain the highest standards of food, service and attention to detail, and we can only apologize that we were unsuccessful on this occasion.

We thank you for joining us at Brewster’s and wish you happier dining in the future.

We stayed in Point Roberts for a few days and went to Brewster's several times. We ate in the restaurant, picked up fresh baked muffins in their deli and bought wine from their great selection. Each time we went we found everyone that worked there to be very friendly and helpful plus their food was good.

We will definitely return to Brewster's!

Stopped for a bite after picking up a package. The food was reasonable. Not plentiful. Beer choice good. I would check their desert case before ordering to confirm freshness.
