This is a lovely place. It's the kind of setting that is relaxed and friendly, homey and very cozy and they are dog friendly. My husband and I love the Resort. My favorite time of year to visit is in the fall, when the fires are in the fire places in the sitting rooms and restaurants. The restaurant is cozy and intimate and has a wonderful wine selection. The chef is creative and the meals are delicious, featuring local sea food. The large sitting room is bright, looks out to the bay and has comfortable chairs you can sink into and relax for hours. I love the guest rooms, which have fire places, very comfortable beds and bedding and bathrooms which are very well appointed with big, thick towels. The Resort's setting is beautiful, with views of the Olympic Mountains/Hurricane Ridge, the bay, surrounding hillsides, forests and the resort's marina. Take a weekend and treat yourself to a lovely retreat at Port Ludlow.

This is a lovely review! Thank you for making the time to share your impressions of our resort....you framed it beautifully and highlighted what so many of our guests enjoy - the setting, the service, the pet-friendly environment, the fireplaces (we have 40 of them), the food, the beverage.....wow - that pretty much sums it up! Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Our stay was fabulous. We didn't make reservations for dinner as we had a baby with us and by the time we got there, the restaurant was booked. We were about to head back to Pt Townsend when the front desk stopped us and said we could order from the restaurant and eat in our room. We did this and someone actually brought the food to our room despite the fact that I don't think room service is offered. So sweet! The food was amazing! We sat in front of the fireplace and ate a delightful dinner with the bottle of wine that was left in our room. The bathtub with a view of the fireplace was great as was breakfast the next morning. I also liked the soap they provided and the bath robes were fantastic. It was a great anniversary and I would stay here again.

Happy Anniversary! Thank you for the kind review...we are delighted that we could accommodate your dinner plans on this very special evening. You are right in that we do not have "room service" though we will happily make accommodations when the need presents itself. Your description of the time in front of the fireplace actually speaks to a very romantic evening and we are happy to have been a part of that. Our joy is when a guest says they will "stay here again." We look forward to that opportunity and in the meantime, wish you many happy journeys.

The resort has some great deals (and IIRC, are less expensive than they were a few years ago) ... we were very happy with the room rates, cleanliness, upkeep of the rooms and grounds, and the restaurant (Fireside, also available for booking on OpenTable) is really good. Fireside has an AMAZING wine list with a great selection of regular and library wines! The prices are also reasonable for menu items (not astronomical as one might expect in a resort). The staff both at the front desk (who also made our reservations when we called) and Fireside are friendly and full of smiles. Wifi is free (but not the strongest or fastest coverage) and our room has a beautiful soaking tub. They are also pet-friendly and have a cute little chalkboard at the reception desk that announce the "VIPs" ... very important pets who are staying at that time. We would not hesitate to come back!

Room Tip: if you bring a pet, the selection of rooms is limited. we have a "bay view" but only when you peek between two condos ... if view is critical, be sure you discuss in detail when you book your reservation so you get what you'd like.

Thank you! We are delighted with this review as it captures many of the aspects of what we are focused on - cleanliness and maintenance of our assets, making it easy to connect with us (Open Table, for example) and our food and beverage offerings. You were keen on noticing the little details - and we think those matter! Thanks, especially, for reconizing our happy team - we believe if the team is happy, naturally, our guests will be. We appreciate that you made the time to share your impressions and look forward to seeing you again soon. Safe journeys.

Love the real wine glasses, cushy towels, beds, robes.... all the bathroom amenities...The service is probably the best part. Everyone from front desk to the servers to the hotel cleaning staff were very sweet, very accommodating. Every person we came in contact with wished us a Happy Anniversary. We so appreciated the 2 free drinks prior to our sublime dinner...This is a one of a kind...go to...not to be missed resort. Loved, loved it!

Room Tip: Water view...from the bed or the jacuzzi tub....

My husband and I recently spent my birthday at The Resort at Port Ludlow. We loved our room, the view and setting were wonderful and the food at the Fireside Restaurant was excellent. Since the Resort is also a member of the GSBA - Greater Seattle Business Association I was anxious to check it out. What an incredibly fantastic experience this was! Susan Windle the Senior Sales Manager for the resort is just a joy and helped make our visit even more special! I would highly recommend this place to everyone especially all of us here in the Puget Sound area. Another big perk was the proximity to Seattle. Once on the Kingston side of The Sound it was a short drive. Thanks again!

Happy Belated Birthday, David - and THANK YOU for this very kind review. We are delighted that you were able to join us - and learn a bit more about what we have to offer. Yes, we often hear the surprise from our guests about "how close" we are….something about crossing that water that creates a sense of adventure and intrigue for sure. Perhaps you should consider coming by seaplane on your next visit - then you can really see how close we are! Thanks, too, for mentioning Susan. We are fortunate to have her on our team and appreciate your recognition of her efforts to ensure you had a good time. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Happy Journeys.
