My fiancee and I left for a short weekend getaway to Port Ludlow and almost stayed forever. The Resort was perfect. Dinner on the marina in the evenings including a Farm to Plate dinner that was unforgettable. We took our "farm bucks" to the Port Townsend Saturday market, picked out our favorite foods for dinner, then took it back and sat down with the Chef to go over what we could and couldn't eat. Amazing dinner. Amazing. Paddle boarding and golfing during the day and most importantly relaxing with my fiancee over a glass of wine while we watched the sailboats in the marina. If you visit the Northwest you should absolutely go to Port Ludlow. If you live in the Northwest, what are you waiting for!

Room Tip: Call and ask for Debbie. Tell her Chris or Des told you to call. She is very nice and very helpful i...

Thank you for this remarkable review! We are always happy when guests fully experience Port Ludlow and our surrounding communities and you did that! We cannot take credit for Mother Nature - though we love to celebrate all she has to offer...the views, the fresh air, the bounty of the earth. We are in the memory making business - and it sounds like we hit the mark on that for you! Thanks for sharing your impressions and we hope to see you again very soon.

We LOVED our stay. We only stayed 2 nights and we did not want to leave. SO relaxing, comfortable, quiet, peaceful....What a gem. We will definitely be back! We had a corner king and it was so spacious and comfortable!! The bed was REALLY comfy, which is unusual for a hotel. The staff was friendly, the food wonderful...the salt air spectacular....no complaints...it was just perfect.

Thank you for this lovely review....and we will be happy to welcome you again and again. Thanks for noting the bed - we believe that this is one of the very most important aspects to a relaxing stay and are delighted that you found it so "comfy." A good bed, linens, pillows and fresh air will go a long way to restoring one and we are happy to have hit the mark on that for you. Our team loves hearing that our approach to hospitality is working too - and this includes a warm welcome and yummy food! We appreciate that you made the time to share your impressions and look forward to seeing you soon.

My wife and I stayed here June 1st & 2nd, 2014. Check in was easy and friendly. Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the marina. It was quiet and picturesque.

We enjoyed two nice dinners at the restaurant - both on the deck that overlooks the marina. The food is wonderful and the service excellent. We were staying here on a golf vacation, but also rented a double kayak at the marina and had a lovely paddle around the harbour. The room was spacious, with a jetted tub that is separate from the shower. The Resort is a historical landmark that has been updated and is a lovely getaway.

The property is about a 20-minute drive from Port Townsend - a historical city with a funky downtown. If you're a hop head, try the IPA at the Port Townsend Brewery - it's fantastic!

We would definitely come back. We need to check out the hiking trails in the area - and play the golf course again!

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the harbour at the front of the property. The second floor was just f...

Thank you for this kind review. We just love when one thing leads to another - and that seems to be the case - first golf, then kayaking, then soaking, then dining and back around to golf and exploring our trails on the next visit. Yea to all!

My husband and I recently stayed here for two nights on our trip to Seattle/Olympic Peninsula. Not being from the area - we relied on the reviews found here on Trip Advisor as well as reviews found online and they are very accurate. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay when visiting the Olympic Peninsula I would recommend this place. Though if you are looking for a quaint village and things to do past 9 pm - this is not your place - I would recommend staying somewhere in Port Townsend or Port Angeles. I was surprised that the place closes their dining service and bar service at 9 pm. I would recommend that they consider - unless local ordinances prohibit them from doing so - that they stay open at least until 10 pm. The bar is very small - - about 4 seats total and the restaurant and dining area are larger. I thought the experience was a little strange for a restaurant that is rated so highly. The food was excellent but the service was a bit uneven and a bit slow at times. The Happy Hour menu features small plates and they are very reasonably priced for the quality of food you are getting here. The breakfast was our favorite - they have wonderful options and everything was done to perfection. The hotel itself was built about 20 years ago now - and the rooms are showing their age ---the tables seemed worn to us and the chair in the room could be replaced with more comfortable ones - - they are wooden/with cushions. The room itself though was fine - - the bathroom shower could be updated and some of the other room amenities, too. The people that were the front desk are friendly and a woman even came in to the dining room while we were eating breakfast to give us really helpful advice regarding our day trip to the Olympic National Park. Please note - - you are about 1 hour away to the Olympic National Park entrance - - right outside of Port Angeles. You are also about a 20 minute drive away from Port Townsend or considerable dining and shopping options. The view of Port Ludlow Bay at sunset with the Olympic National Forest and Hurricane Ridge serving as the backdrop is probably one of the most breathtaking views I have seen at sunset from a hotel balcony. It's so unobstructed with the Marina in the foreground - it's both memorable and beautiful. This Inn is a good choice if you are looking for exceptional food and a quiet stay when visiting this area.

Room Tip: Request a room with a balcony on the Marina side

We had a delightful overnight stay in the 'King Balcony with Marina View Room' and can't wait to return. Upon arrival we were struck by the serenity, quietness, and quaintness of the bay. The staff were exceptionally friendly during check-in and were particularly helpful in arranging our farm package plans to visit local farms, including Finnriver Farm and Cidery. Before beginning our afternoon of touring and shopping local farms, the front desk suggested that we eat lunch at Farm's Reach Cafe in nearby Chimicum. This was a wonderful introduction to the high quality and farm fresh food that we would enjoy during our entire stay. We highly recommend this restaurant to others - we sampled a maple bar with bacon that was fiendishly delicious. Our afternoon on the farms was an ideal way to spend a few hours. Spending the Inn's "Farm Bucks" was very fun, as was selecting ingredients for our dinner that night. It was very easy to navigate the area and learning the farms was a great way to get to know the area for new comers. Red Dog Farm had the very best selection and quality of produce on that day. Our late afternoon and evening at the Inn was unusually relaxing. We walked along the beach, visited the totem pole, read on the porch, while watching a Great blue heron fish in the bay, napped in our sun-lit, charming room, and chatted fireside in the lobby. Dinner was among the best we've ever had, anywhere. It was an memorable evening -- we literally couldn't believe the quality of the meal and couldn't stop smiling all the way through dinner. After an extraordinary dining experience, we took a walk along the system of docks in the bay and watched a harbor seal, who had found a resting place on a quiet dock-corner. After our one-night stay, we were sorry we had to leave so soon and were already excited about the idea of returning for a longer stay. Other highlights of our trip included the luxurious jacuzzi tub with very soft bath salts, being warmed by the electric fireplace as the sun rose, and sampling some of the regular dining menu (our dinner was part of the farm package). The French onion soup and granola were exceptional. We particularly recommend this spot for couples or friends looking for a relaxing, quiet weekend, filled with great food and scenic views.

Room Tip: Balcony and marina view are the way to go at the Inn. The King Room was a bit smaller than the pictu...

WOW! Thank you for this remarkable review. We are delighted that you were able to enjoy not only our Inn and The Fireside - but learned a bit about the work being done on our local farms and in our community. We have found the Farm Package to be just what guests are looking for - travel with an experience that celebrates the location. We always appreciate it when our guests really have an opportunity to "wind down" and relax...and it sounds like you did just that. Thanks for the high marks on our food, guest service and the sense of place....and we really look forward to seeing you again soon.

The staff was friendly and happy to assist us with our needs. The setting serene and the views picturesque. The restaurant menu choices were far above average and every bite was heaven. The outdoor and indoor seating take advantage of the marina view. We sat on the covered outdoor deck and enjoyed live guitar softly playing in the background. A patio heater was placed next to the table in case the temperature cooled. The suite was clean, not large but plenty of space for two people. The bathroom was very nice and the highlight was a jetted soaking tub very with big windows overlooking views of the water and mountains. Every detail taken care of- complimentary scoop of bath salts, gas fireplace, two decks off the living room, a small bar area with Keurig coffee and tea ready to go. The noon check out time was appreciated. Indulge in breakfast -Every bite was spectacular!

Room Tip: We had the third floor suite- great views and the two decks were private.
