I liked this p[lace and the food was good. Had the lamb sliders and beer. Not bad worth a look. Oh and cool jail inside.

I ate here on a Thursday afternoon ordering the "half apple salad" and "3 pork sliders". It was more than enough food to take 2 sliders and half of the half salad home for dinner. The dark ale alongside helped to finish out the meal. Now back on a Sunday afternoon, I ordered the exact same thing but the salad had a different dressing, was less in quantity and thus none of it came home and the sliders were not hot and fresh. The food was the same good quality just not presented in the same quality fashion - thus the 1 star downgrade.

I would definitely come back. But I also note for other newbie's that the service is very confusing. Simply assume you have to order everything from the bar (drink and food). On both days the wind picked up and it was too cold to eat outside, but the seating inside for one person is very awkward... even at the bar... since everyone has to come to the bar to order.

Don't let these things stop you. The food was great and the area around Fort Worden is beautiful.

A really cool place, steeped in history. Where else can you get a drink and a bite sitting in a cell? On second thought, don't answer that. I doubt the quality of the offerings from the Washington Department of Corrections measures up to this place, operated under license from the Washington State Parks. Very worthwhile visit. BTW, it's inside the park, so a Discover Pass or park admission is needed.

Great vibe to this old jailhouse (the historic bars are a nice feature despite the obvious puns!) Cameron and the other staff are beyond helpful and make each customer feel very welcome. The clam chowder is excellent!

I love the location of this place, and have visited many times. I am disappointed that the food and drinks are not good consistently. We recently ordered the ploughman's plate which is said to include artisan cheese. It did not. Instead, there was a cheap, bland orange cheddar along with an even worse white Colby. The meat was some sad leftover pork with a few slices of salami. We expect better. The cocktails are not well made. Good vermouth needs to be used along with good spirits, and to use cheap products means the drink is awful. I have high hopes that the management can turn this place around, because it has potential.
