-we forgot to look at the tide cancellations for the Port Townsend to Whidbey ferry, and found that our day trip was going to become an overnighter. Luckily, the Ravenscroft had a dog friendly room available (because, of course, we had our dog with us!), and we had a delightful stay!

Room Tip: The one dog-friendly room is downstairs, below grade; but, it does have an opening window, providing...

Recent remodel transformed large, old-style home into beautiful B&B. The house is nicely appointed with antique furnishings, yet has all needed modern conveniences. Rooms are clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and include modern, en suite bathrooms. Hosts are gracious and breakfasts are gourmet. A very enjoyable holiday visit to Port Townsend was made even better by our stay at Ravenscroft Inn.

We recently spent a night at Ravenscroft on our trip out to the Olympic Peninsula to hike Hurricane Ridge. We wanted to stay somewhere welcoming, warm, peaceful, and maybe even a little indulgent before we started off on our trip the next day - and Ravenscroft was all that and more! We were so thrilled to be welcomed into the inn by the proprietors and discover that it had just been recently renovated but still retained a warm, cozy charm. Our room - The Rainier - was luxurious, with a huge bathroom, king-sized bed, jacuzzi-like bathtub, and stunning views of the water. The sitting area downstairs was stocked with great reads, and the kitchen/dining area was spacious enough for all guests to eat in privacy if they chose. Between the homebaked cookies welcoming us back after dinner, to the fluffy white bathrobes, to the package of local chocolate on the bed when we got in, to the most delicious homemade breakfast, to the offer by the proprietors to call in dinner reservations for us at a local restaurant, to their checking of the Hurricane Ridge weather cam for us the morning before we set out to help us plan our hike - this place has it all the charm, service, luxury, and comfort you could ask for. Most importantly (for me). the husband and wife due running the inn were extremely kind and helpful, but they also let us come and go as we pleased. I recommend Ravenscroft 100 times over for anyone visiting Port Townsend.

Room Tip: If you want to splurge, definitely go for The Rainier room.

This is the top rated B&B in Port Townsend for good reason. The Admiralty room was perfectly clean and appointed. The claw foot tub in the room was a nice touch. No TV (thankfully) but internet connection couldn't be beat. Breakfast was simple but so remarkably tasty. Drunken French toast with Blackberry Preserves one morning and an excellent sausage quiche the next. Both meals served with yogurt and fruit. Mmmmm, tasty! If you're looking for a place to stay in Port Townsend, this is it. The owners were really in tune to knowing how to treat their guests.

Room Tip: Second floor Admiralty room was large with a propane fireplace, claw foot tub, and view of Puget Sou...

It started with a nice welcome and just got better through the weekend. Dave and Carolyn are wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. They are great cooks and accommodated a special dietary request. They suggested a couple places to eat, which were fantastic. They also told us about the year-round Farmers Market which is just a few blocks away. We didn't drive the whole weekend because everything is within easy walking distance. The room was romantic because it had a fireplace which we used each night. The view of Puget Sound is really nice from the balcony. The Christmas lights made it even better. This is the place to stay in Port Townsend!

Room Tip: The Fireplace room is really romantic.

Can't express strongly enough the wonderful experience we had dropping in unannounced at this establishment. We thoroughly enjoyed Port Townsend as a place to wander for a couple of days and the night we spent with David felt like we had come home. The always available espresso and the unbelievable breakfast was unlike home as we don't just don't have it that good there...Thank you David. Next visit we will make reservations.

Room Tip: All excellent, I believe the next time we are there we want the "Admiralty Room".

We stayed at the Ravenscroft Inn on November 13. We were absolutely delighted with every aspect of our stay. The food was excellent and Dave was very attentive to our need for a gluten free breakfast. The house, our room and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We stayed at the front of the house on the top floor and had a magnificent view of the lower town and bay. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it highly!
