Get ready to be spoiled! Although the inn keepers were out when we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a member of their staff and shown around the place. On the first floor to the right of the entry hall there's a sitting room/library with arm chairs, a tasteful game table and books galore. Back across the entry and down the hall is a large professional-grade chef's kitchen, the dining room, and an adjacent guest bathroom. At the far end of the dining room there's also a large couch and fireplace. French doors off the dining room open onto the covered porch. We were also shown a shared guest's fridge with complimentary water and sodas, and were invited to bring any leftovers back from dinner if we wanted. The hostess led the way upstairs, made sure we needed for nothing, and left us alone to get used to the place. Although I know there are more rooms, we only saw the four on the second floor where we stayed. We arrived when the floor was otherwise empty and were able to see all of the rooms and compare them. While they vary in size all are arranged beautifully with extremely comfortable high quality furniture. Everything is tastefully done and each room works well. The furniture all looks near new - not one worn or broken piece in the whole place. In each room there are knick nacks and treasures to explore, books to read, and great areas to relax and just be at peace. We stayed in the Admiralty Suite and loved it from window seat to claw-foot tub. The king sized sleigh bed was covered in comfy sheets, the gas fireplace was gorgeous, and the matching mission style chairs and footstools were our well suited for reading, relaxing and napping. When we came down to head to dinner we met Dave, and he gave us a welcome and made sure we were oriented and had a good plan in place for the evening. Food both mornings was incredible - Dave does the cooking and he has definitely found his calling as everything was prepared perfectly. Carolyn provided warm service and engaging conversation during both the breakfasts we were there for. The dining room seats sixteen at four country-elegant tables, yet the room never felt the least bit crowded even when with a full house during the second day of our stay.

We could not have had a better time during our stay at Ravenscroft Inn. Dave & Carolyn Petro are outstanding hosts! They have a real knack for making guests feel welcome and at ease, and they deserve the rave reviews you see here. Do not be put off by older reviews still out there from a previous owner's tenure - we live within 50 miles and between us have stayed in several B&Bs and none can compare to Ravenscroft Inn. It's a true gem and a home away from home we can't wait to get back to.

Room Tip: Not a bad choice in the place, but if you want a view ask - the rooms in the back have interesting n...

My boyfriend and I spent the night in the bay room after spending the day at the Strangebrew festival. The room was large and bright and the king size bed super comfortable. We enjoyed complementary mint tea and chocolates before bed, and a delicious spread of fruit, cheese, smoked salmon and cooked-to-order french toast for breakfast. It was a quick walk from the Inn to the American Legions Hall and main Port Townsend strip. We had a great stay overall. Ravenscroft Inn is a comfortable and convenient place to stay, with great amenities.

One night in Port Townsend is really not enough, but our schedule only allowed for that, this time. We chose to stay at Ravenscroft Inn based on other Trip Advisor reviews and were very happy with that choice. We were warmly welcomed by Dave, the owner, who gave us background on the property and a tour. The Inn is very pretty, very clean and is very tastefully decorated. Our room, on the 3rd floor, was bright with natural light and a view of the water, with a very comfortable, inviting and well- appointed bed (with 2 wonderful chocolate truffles waiting for us when we arrived). The bathroom was fresh and clean with a pretty window over the sink looking out to Admiralty Inlet and Mt. Baker. Dave's breakfast, prepared in their big, modern kitchen, was delicious: Greek yogurt with fresh fruits, an herb omelet, a potato stack and a yummy berry scone. If you get a chance to talk to Dave you will find he has great stories about his and Carolyn's adventures; and if you wander into the main floor library you will find a tantalizing collection of local and world travel and adventure books from their trips, as well as some excellent novels and non-fiction. We enjoyed sitting by the book shelves in the evening after walking into town for dinner, exploring titles and adding new activities and places to visit to our bucket list. Highly recommended.

Be prepared for just the right amount of welcome from Dave and Carolyn. They are relaxed and open but don't hover. Visited with my mom for a long weekend in Pt. Townsend. We had the Bay room which has many large windows and doors opening to the 2nd story deck. We were able to watch the ferry sail across the water. Large room with two wing-backed chairs and a table. The private bathroom was immaculate. There are public spaces in the library (great book collection) and the dining room where Dave built a fire so we could read and make our own tea from their selection of many loose leaf teas from a local tea shop. They also have espresso available anytime (you make it fresh yourself.) Breakfast was extensive and freshly prepared by Dave. Fresh fruit, yogurt and meusli (like granola) as well as local smoked salmon and cheeses one day and herbed omlette and a delicious potato dish with manchego and thyme the second day. We didn't really need lunch! A delightful experience all-around and a wonderful place to relax.

My wife and I went for our anniversary. We found them through the Washington Bed and Breakfast Guild. We were able to make our reservations online through the well laid out website. The website allowed me to order a wine and cheese tray for the room as well as a dozen roses. The innkeeper (Dave) contacted me to discuss my order and offer ideas to improve the product he could deliver. Specifically, the florist was concerned that the quality of roses is questionable this time of year. They wanted to see if I would allow them to pick my arrangement from best available, and they were wonderful.

Dave met us at the front door. He gave us the guided tour to the wonderful facilities. When I came in with my bags Dave met me and offered to take them to my room. Throughout the stay, Dave and Carolyn, were a frequent presence in the communal areas. There open and pleasant disposition invited you in. It also worked quite well at creating pleasantries and comfort between/with the other guest. I am a quiet private person by nature, and thier manner got me out of my shell enough to enjoy what was my biggest fear of the B&B operation, communal areas.

Our room was the Ranier Sweet. It was perfectly cleen and stocked. The flowers were on display on the edge of our soaking tub. The tub is located in the main room adjacent to the fireplace. There is a balcony overlooking a well manicured landscape and wonderful views of Admirals Inlet were out every window.

The inn pet was very pleasant surprise. Liesl is documented on the website. The inn keepers routine has her out of the communal areas during high traffic times, but she may be about during the day. My wife and I are Dog people, so we were excited to see her. She is a perfect lady. She is well mannered at all times and provides space to the guest not wanting her company. She has a very cute way of turning her head under and back when you find her special scratching spot. She is worth the effort to win her friendship.

Our experience was so lovely, that we extended our stay. Our room was available, so we asked to stay an extra night, so we could continue this relaxing celebration. We were not dissapointed. We plan to visit them again in the future.

What a lovely Bed and Breakfast. The service was excellent and the restored Victorian Era home was beautiful. Dave was very gracious and helped us find a restaurant in the area that suited our needs. Carolyn and Dave also got up early to fix us a delicious breakfast before we headed out to catch the Port Townsend Ferry the next morning They have a beautiful home and are very hospitable hosts. The room was perfect and the bed exceptional. We definitely recommend the Ravenscroft B&B and will stay there again on our next trip to Port Townsend WA. The WIFI connection was a nice convenience during our stay.

Room Tip: There were other guests in the Inn but it was still very quiet. Also an easy walk to downtown shops...

-we forgot to look at the tide cancellations for the Port Townsend to Whidbey ferry, and found that our day trip was going to become an overnighter. Luckily, the Ravenscroft had a dog friendly room available (because, of course, we had our dog with us!), and we had a delightful stay!

Room Tip: The one dog-friendly room is downstairs, below grade; but, it does have an opening window, providing...
