This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in!
No teddy bears or fripperies - just sophistication. The owner knows how to run a hostelry for sure. We even received a thank you note for staying. The sheets are soft and silky, the towels extra thick, the breakfast delicious. We will definitely return and to recommend to everyone we know.

The inn keepers were really efficient in helping us find a whale watch tour in the area because the local company was not running. They got us all the proper schedules and directions for the ferries to Friday Harbor and checked for us the whale watch boat was running.
The room was elegant and very comfortable. Good bed. Cosy feeling.

Room Tip: The balcony rooms are very nice with a little table and chairs to relax outside watching the ocean...

I am giving 5 stars, but I would give 4.5 if I could. Excellent location (maybe 3 blocks from downtown Port Townsend), friendly owner, newly remodeled interior with SUPER common rooms. Our room was small but it had a lovely view. The bed was FANTASTIC and the bathroom was great. We also toured a couple of other rooms and they were beautiful and spacious. The grounds were immaculate. Keep in mind a couple of things: our room was 3 flights up with no elevator - bring a strong back if you have lots of luggage. Also, there was a "featured" breakfast with poached egg, smoked salmon, polenta, cheese and a blueberry muffin. What if that is not what you want? We were severed a wonderful fruit plate with yogurt to start and the featured breakfast. It was excellent, but I was raised to eat everything served to me at someone's house and found it a bit too much. I would recommend a "fruit/yogurt bar," including some cereals, and then a choice of the featured menu item or a couple of "standard fare" things. I would come back in a heartbeat - great experience. By the way, while you are there try the Alchemy Bistro on Washington Street. It is a few blocks down the hill. Try the "wine flights" to sample 3 wines of your choice along with some really tasty "small plates." Great small dinner for two people at around 40 bucks - recommended.

I'm so glad I choose the Ravenscroft Inn for my 1st visit to Port Townsend. It is gorgeous inside & out, perfectly appointed & the water view from the balcony outside the Bay room was stunning. Loved how big the room was and all the windows. Dave had great suggestions on what to do and where to eat, besides his yummy breakfasts. Loved walking around the neighborhood; easy access to both uptown & downtown. Highly recommend it!

This Inn is goreously decorated, comfortable, clean, has a great location and provides delicious food made with many local ingredients. The owners are friendly, warm and are there for you when you need them. We checked out some of the other accommodations during our visit and were confident that we picked the nicest place and the best fit for us. We stayed in the Fireplace room and it was our favorite in the Inn. This was the perfect place to stay for a couple's weekend away.

Room Tip: Fireplace Room - view of the water, nice layout, cozy fireplace

My husband, daughter and I spent Easter weekend 2014 at the Ravenscroft B&B. We had the top floor all to ourselves as my husband and I stayed in the Rainier Suite while our daughter stayed in the adjoining Baker Room. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. The views of the sound were breathtaking! We loved the breakfasts that David fixed and Carolyn served each morning. They are such nice people (and we loved their border collie "Leisel" too)! The fact that the shops are close by as well as the Saturday Market added to our enjoyment (we might add that this was not our first stay at the Ravenscroft as we had stayed there a few years ago when it was operated by the former owners). David and Carolyn have made many great improvements to the inn since they bought the Inn and we would highly recommend that you make it your place to stay while visiting Port Townsend! (We've made a pact to stay here at least once a year!) Tory, Ann and Kari Tjersland, Olympia, WA.

Room Tip: The Rainier Suite combined with the Baker Room were a perfect fit for us. And when you book them to...
