“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

We loved the Ravenscroft Inn. It has all of the charm of a Victorian, with all of the space, up-to-date conveniences and luxury of something built in the last 5 years. David and Carol are great hosts. They gave us excellent advice on restaurants (two really wonderful dinners within blocks of the Inn), a delicious breakfast both mornings we were there, and a truly luxurious, comfortable place to be. Everything from the ultra-smooth sheets to the flowers in the front hall were first class. We stayed in the smaller of the 3rd floor rooms, and it was plenty spacious enough for us (mind you, we have managed in ultra modern Hong Kong Central hotels, so we're OK when it's tight) -- but there was room for a small desk as well as two chairs up there. We would go there again in a minute. Another note: the Inn is in the "upper" part of town -- which we really liked. The area is out of the touristy, noisier right-on-the-water section, but only a few blocks walk (there were stairs, which we found charming). We walked around in both areas, and felt as if we'd gotten a good feel for "old" Port Townsend by the time that we left. It's one of those "preserved in amber" towns, and we felt lucky to have the chance to explore it, and do some hiking nearby.

My husband and I stayed in the Admiralty Suite and were extremely impressed with the furnishings, view and cleanliness of the Inn. Our room had a nice distant view of the Puget Sound and was very well appointed with a separate sitting area and fireplace, large shower, and claw foot tub. Special thanks to Dave (the inn keeper) for a delicious breakfast and superb dinner suggestions in Port Townsend. Dave was very accommodating and even found us a place to store our bicycles. Port Townsend is a quaint town with many unique shops and restaurants. We can't wait to go back.

We returned to one of our favorite getaways after a three year absence. And we couldn't be happier with the service and facility at Ravenscroft.

Dave and Carolyn are the new owners...and are carrying on a tradition of excellence at the B&B. great accommodations, Wonderful breakfast and a friendly atmosphere.

Ravenscroft offers the best in B&B service. We highly recommend it.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Ravenscroft Inn last weekend. What a delight. We were greeted by the owner who acquainted us with the grounds and the amazing kitchen and its amenities. We stayed in the Fireside room. (It was lovely, but we took a peak into the Admiralty Room and decided that would be our room next time due to the bigger bed, brighter colors). The owners made a delicious breakfast each morning in addition to the fruit, yogurt and meusli available. We were so impressed with the hospitality and cleanliness and warmth this inn provided. The downtown area is a very short distance from the inn, and a beautiful walk. The inn's dog, Liesl, is precious. We will definitely return to the Ravenscroft Inn on our next visit to Port Townsend!

This bed and breakfast is a must if you need a quiet get away and require first class accommodations. When you first walk into the beautiful redone victorian home you will notice the attention to detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the beds are luxurious; and, the area so quiet that sleep will easily carry you away unless you rebuff the idea with local coffee or teas that are available to try at your leisure. This B&B has made a great effort to offer as much local fairs as possible from the art work on the walls, the chocolates on your pillows, the sea salts for you baths to the salmon used for the delicious breakfast. You could easily stay forever.

Room Tip: some rooms have full decks to watch the sea go by.

My daughter and I shared a room at the inn. We were greeted by the owners and shown our room. It was just as beautiful as the pictures. The location was great. We walked to town, the farmers' market and uptown. The dinner suggestion was perfect. I would love to return again with my husband.

The inn is well located in the upper part of Port Townsend and it's an easy and enjoyable walk to the downtown. I stayed in the study room at the inn and enjoyed it, and the inn as a whole, more than I expected. The place was very clean and well furnished. The Petro's were friendly and accommodating. Dave makes excellent and breakfasts! I recommend it to others!
