For a Brazilian tourist perspective, the weekend I have been in this Lodge was very good.
The lodge and the region itself is very different and beautiful. The fireplace room is fantastic, but the room and the bed I have been too small.

We had a bad experience . After arrival at the lodge the power failed. The back up generators stayed on 45 minutes. Then no power. Total black out. We had a small flash light and made our way to the lobby. Some had candles. The staff told us the power would be out until the next day.
Cold and rainy night no power. We decided to checkout. No phone service and one hour drive to nearest town. We did make it to Port Angeles at eleven PM. Poor management. Would not visit again.

We recently had enjoyable stay. Our Fireplace Room was equipped with wi-fi and television on top of a very scenic lake view. We had some damp weather which made it enjoyable to relax in our room with the fireplace going. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed, but not quite to luxury standards. In fact, the bathroom was fairly crude and could use a little work.

The main lodge is wonderful and a great place to lounge around and have a few drinks or play cards, etc. We ate at the restaurant which wasn't quite as elegant as we imagined but we thought the food was quite good. There was a room with a swimming pool and sauna that seemed quite crowded so I never took a closer look. The gift shop has an interesting assortment of items worth browsing.

The area has great hiking trails and you can head out from several starting at the Lodge. The weather was damp and soggy but the views in the area are incredible. The loop around the lake is well worth the time. Overall we had a positive experience and would recommend staying at the Lake Quinault Lodge.

Room Tip: Lakeside Room bottom floor (we could hear noise upstairs but we didn't find it problematic)

Our four night stay was fantastic! Numerous hiking trails are just steps away from the lodge. Very peaceful, serene and relaxing place to vacation and to get back to nature. Sitting/reading in front of the fireplace was a perfect way to spend an afternoon after hiking. The kids especially enjoyed the beautiful pool. Our breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the lodge dining room were delicious. Thanks for a wonderful visit - we left with lots of great family memories.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Lodge. The setting is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. It is located on the lake with a variety of room choices. Since I had my dog along I stayed in the boathouse which was the original bunkhouse for workers constructing the current lodge. The rooms are on the small side but I still had enough room. There are no phones or tv's in the room which made for a very nice "technology free" stay. If you absolutely must have a tv then choose somewhere else. They do have wifi and some cell reception (but don't count on it). The beds are very comfortable! The restaurant on site is on the expensive side but the food is excellent! There is also the Mercantile across the street which has really good food and A LOT of choices. The owners just opened it earlier last spring and are still working on improving and adding things. The lodge lobby area has a huge fireplace that was always going and it was a nice place to sit and read a book or put together the jigsaw puzzles that they supply. They also have a variety of activities one of which was a van tour of the Quinault loop. The tour was great and it was nice to have someone else do the driving since the road conditions are not the best (there are A LOT of potholes). The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The are also several trails in the area that I want to go back and hike. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay!

Room Tip: Pay the extra amount and get a lakeview room!

Beautiful place, lovely location - even in the rain. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Only problem we had was no WI-fi in our non-renovated (but quite comfortable) room in the Lakeside building. Supposed to be there, per the staff, but in three days they were unable to fix it. Wi-fi in the main lodge and in other buildings in the complex but not ours. We were there on a Groupon coupon, so the price was certainly right. One note: Weekdays - at least during off-season times - are relaxing and not crowded. Weekends are extremely crowded and busy. There's not much else up in that area, so it seems to be a magnet for everyone in the area! Second note: Take earplugs. The walls and floors are really thin! Which reminds me, it would be a good idea to ask for a top floor room with nobody tramping around above you!
The Roosevelt Dining Room in the lodge has taken some hits from other reviewers. We found it to be fine and reasonably priced - especially considering the remote location and captive audience. No complaints here. (But the nearby Salmon House was better!)

We had a great stay here with the kids. We arrived in Late October just as the first rain for a couple of weeks arrived. The main room with the Grand Fireplace is very impressive with an overall feel of a large turn of the century Hunting lodge for the Victorian Elite. There are numerous inviting leather couches where guests were relaxing with a drink and a book. The history surrounding the lodge is portrayed through the photos and letters on the wall with the presidential Dining Room leading off. We stayed in one of teh Motel type room offset from the lodge overlooking the lake which was well appointed. If you do not want to dine in style the gas station and Diner over the road provides excellent service with home made Pizzas, Chilli and bugers. The Breakfast menu is superb. We took the Lodges own bus tour whcch with a 12 seater bus still felt personable with an excellent guide who showed us all the places of interest. I would stay again in a heartbeat. If you are travelling during the winter do check the roads as they may be blocked by snow or mud slides.

Room Tip: They are all good
