“Practically Perfect B&B”
Reviewed 22 February 2014

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Meritage Meadows. The Inn was spotlessly clean, the breakfasts simply delicious, and the Innkeepers were delightful. A variety of snacks and tea/coffee/hot chocolate were always available. Bob made dinner reservations, scheduled massages, recommended wineries to visit, including a tour and tasting of his own wine. The Inn's setting was beautiful and quiet. You will greatly enjoy your visit with Bob and Karen at Meritage Meadows.

We have stayed there twice in the last 2 months. The unusual hospitality and affability of the hosts (Karen and Bob), free access to diverse and plentiful snacks and cookies, well appointed rooms, great breakfasts, beautiful forest setting, access to their own excellent wines prepared right on-site, and very reasonable rates make this one of the best stops in Washington state. They even have a great movie room in the basement with comfortable couches and a simple to operate remote. Can't beat it.

This B&B is set in a lovely wooded area with a winery on the premises. I was traveling to Redmond on business and really appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and friendly innkeepers. We had a little wine tasting and the wines were wonderful. My bed was very comfortable in the Yakima Room.

The first day I had a delicious breakfast of Finish Pancakes, fruit and Sausage. It was great. I had a very early flight the second morning and the Innkeepers were so kind to be waiting at the door with a breakfast to-go and coffee for the drive to the Airport.

I would recommend this B&B to anyone traveling to the Seattle / Redmond WA area.

Really enjoyed the welcoming Inn owners, and the very nice accommodations. Nice central location to reach wine tasting rooms, and good restaurants. It was especially nice to have a open wine tasting of the owners own Cinq Cellars. His point of view and comfortable gathering room made the wines come alive.

Room Tip: Rooms are worth the upgrades.

This was a great find. We were looking for a place near Delille Cellars for a wedding we were attending. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, and relaxing. It was nice to be able to get out of the city for the night.
The owners were fabulous and friendly, very accommodating and great with email correspondence. I wish we could have spent a week up in this area and at the Inn.

We have Gluten and Dairy intolerance's/allergies. Owners were very accommodating with our food allergies and cooked an amazing breakfast for us, Mediterranean fritatas, fruit cup, coffee, fresh pressed apple cider, with these delicious gluten free/lactose free cinnamon apple muffins! Yummmmm :)

We would vacation up here again just to stay at the inn and see the area!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beautiful!

Green Features: The shower uses refill soap and shampoo dispensers, much better for environment.

Thanks for your visit to Meritage Meadows Inn. We try to accommodate any dietary restriction because we believe that life is too short to eat bad food or drink bad wine. We're glad you enjoyed what we served!

Meritage Meadows Inn was everything I could have hoped for and more: welcoming, comfortable, great conversation, good wine and excellent hosts. I was seeking accommodation close to Pegasus Training and Rehabilitation Centre where my horse was undergoing treatment - Meritage Meadows Inn is just five minutes away. When I needed early morning breakfast to go so that I could be at the barn in time to meet the Vet, Bob and Karen rose to the occassion providing freshly baked scones and muffins, Tillimuck yoghurt, fresh fruit salad and a 'just right' cup of coffee all caringly tucked into a carry sack with appropriate cutlery and napkin. On other days, breakfast spanned savoury and sweet from waffles with fruit compote to Meritage eggs benedict...the secret ingredient, a flavourful wine reduction. Attention to detail is at the forefront of this lovely Inn and the Inn keepers truly care.

Meritage Meadows is one of those places you stumble along and thank your lucky stars you did your research well. My wife and I wanted to spend a few days in Seattle but not pay the downtown prices - I ask you, $40 for parking at the Marriot? It only took us about 25 minutes to get to Pike Place Market and it's an easy route.

So we decided to base ourselves out of Redmond for three days at this tranquil country inn. Karen and Bob are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room, the Red Mountain, was their best one, although all rooms are excellent. The bathroom was the star as it featured a Japanese soaker tub (read very deep, big enough for two, and you sit upright), a massive shower (used to be a steam room) and a full size sauna.

It's not often that a place is actually better than depicted on the website, but in this case Meritage Meadows Inn exceeded our expectations. We loved how welcome we felt and the fact that guest are welcome to use a wide variety of rooms. For instance, if you want to order food in, Bob and Karen are happy for you to use the formal dining room table and provide plates, knives etc. There is a guest fridge, and it's stocked with ice creams, which is a nice touch.

Breakfasts were truly excellent, and we are foodies and sometimes difficult to please.

I short, we will be back - soon. Meritage Meadows is friendly, welcoming, clean, comfortable, tranquil, great value, and one of the nicest inns we've stayed at. Thanks Karen and Bob - see you soon!

Room Tip: Eat out at the Stone House restaurant in Redmond. Drink Bob's wine (Cinq Cellars). If you like a...
