“Happy...pretty good”
Reviewed 26 September 2008

For the most part, we were pretty happy with the two night stay. We booked a one bed (king) suite.

About the rooms/hotel:
1)They have complimentry internet access in the rooms and a little center close to the lobby with a printer set up if you need it.. It was very convinent for the times that we are living in now.
2) The room was of a decent size for a suite....a small living room area, a small desk area for business types to get some work done if needed, and the bed area. The microwave and small frig is always convinent. The bathroom/vanity area was kind of small, but over all it was clean.
3)The only thing I would have to complain about this place are the towels. Overall they were pretty clean, but they felt like sandpaper on your skin as you are drying off. Terrible quality!
4)We were staying on the top floor (4th)....and it was pretty quiet. Someone was conplaining about the noise, but I think just as long as you don't stay next to the elevators you should be good. Just make sure you ask first before you accept the room.
5)The complimentry breakfast in the morning was okay. They have self made waffles, muffins, toast, cereal, and other pastries. They have some pre-made egg patties and sausage patties....that looked kind of gross. The egg patties look like cardboard cut outs. Ucky!
6)Service overall was pretty good...no complaints.

About the location:
1)The location was pretty good. It's kind of tucked away from the main roads....so your aways from the hussel and bussel of the cars. The hotel is really close to everything you might need. Shopping and restaurants. Not walkable distance, but a close drive.
2) This place is also close to Seattle downtown, the drive isn't bad if you are traveling with atleast two people because you can use the carpool lane. If your alone than try not to travel during rush hour as in any big city.
3)There's also a Town...something by Marriots and a Lake something next store that looked pretty good from the outside....so good luck to travelers who might be staying in the area and looking for a deal of some sort.

Smiles.... =)

This SpringHill Suites in Renton is a great park and fly hotel. We drove down from BC because there was a great deal on a flight to San Francisco, nearly half as from flying out of Vancouver. The hotel runs a free shuttle to the airport on the hour or by request. The only hotel it shares the airport van with is the Towneplace Suites, also by Marriott. The hotel offers complimentary parking for your car while you are gone, so what we did was we stayed one night, and left the car there for 7 days. Other airport zone hotels charge something like $13/day to park.

The breakfast was good, make your own waffles with whipped topping and strawberry sauce, pastries, cereal, yogurt and eggs and sausage. The eggs were fluffier than eggs at someplace like Hampton Inn. They also had milk, coffee, juices and hot chocolate to drink.

We had a 2 double beds with 1 pullout suite. The rooms themselves are very big, complete with 2 LCD TVs (I'm pretty sure they were 32"). There is a microwave by one kitchen style sink near the door. Also, the bathroom sink is actually just outside the actual bathroom, so we found that great. We liked how we could have the 2 doubles and pullout because the 2 teens could each have their own bed.

The rate was $140, but easily worth that because of the parking. I'm pretty sure that is on the upper end of their rates, but that is dependent on the time of year that you go.

  • Liked — Big rooms, 3 beds, Park and fly, 2 LCD TVs
  • Disliked — Bit of a smell in the washroom when we first arrived

Our family stayed at SpringHill Suites for 2 nights mid-Aug. I would classify this as your standard Marriott affair with decent amenities, decent beds, etc. The room that we stayed in was a king plus sofabed and was fairly spacious. The sofabed was in it's own little area next to the kitchenette. Breakfast was also good very good with some hot items like eggs and sausage patties.

For the value, Springhill was decent, but not as good a value compared to the Hampton Inn near Tacoma that I stayed later on my trip. Hampton is much newer (May 08 completion).

We stayed one night at the Renton Washington Springhill Suites before a cruise out of Seattle. Motel has free hot breakfast and a shuttle from the airport. They also advertised a shuttle around the local area although we did not use that. They also have a pool that looked nice but we did not use it. Our room rate was less than $100.

We were a family of five in a suite. We had two double beds and a pull out couch. The pull out bed was not new but it was ok for our 10 year old son.

The motel was full the night we were there so breakfast was busy the next morning, especially after a fire alarm got everyone down to the lobby.

The motel is in an area of small offices close to the highway. It was about 15 minutes from the airport with light traffic. There is a Wal-mart and several restaurants close by, but probably too far to walk. We enjoyed our stay here.

I thought the place sounded good from trip advisor reviewers but, was sourly disappointed upon arrival.
1. hotel is located near the mall but, in an industrial area that is a little shady
2. hotel was old and slightly renovated but, you could still see the age of the facility
3. room smelled like musty mold
4. bed was old, soft and uncomfortable to stay in

Guess I was spoiled by the nicer hotel I had just stayed in for a week but, this was not worth it. I would rather pay a bit more for a nicer location and a hotel with new beds, etc.

We checked in an hour early from arriving at the Sea Tac Airport--which was really nice! We stayed here because it was close to Seattle without staying downtown Seattle.

Location:
We drove about 20 minutes to downtown Seattle....traffic was kind of bad. There were a lot of restaurants in Renton; however, we decided to eat in Seattle.

Hotel:
Clean and good location. The front desk was friendly and helpful! 5 adults stayed in one suite. It was perfect because we were here basically to sleep. Springhill Suites had an indoor pool and exercise room--however the exercise room fills up early on a weekday. Included in our night stay was breakfast....they offered muffins, bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit. It was yummy and enough for us!

  • Liked — Cleanliness & breakfast
  • Disliked — If traffic is congested…about 20 minutes to Seattle

We had a one night stay at the Springhill Suites in Renton and found it quite enjoyable. This was our second time at this property. We are a family of five so parents had one bed, oldest kids another and son was on the hide-a-bed. A bit cozy but it worked, especially for the evening. We had several errands to run around the city so Renton was centrally located for Bellevue, SeaTac and Southcenter Mall for shopping and running to the airport. We were there on a Sunday evening and it wasn't overly crowded. The continental breakfast was very good and wasn't overrun with people as they can often be. They had a person who was working hard to keep it clean and well stocked also which isn't always the case.
We used the swimming pool which was clean and well kept. The fitness room was fine. The 'girls' like the shopping at Southcenter, us boys got to stay in the room and watch NCAA basketball and then there are a number of options for dinner.

  • Liked — Conveniently located and easy access to major highways
  • Disliked — Great functional hotel but doesn't have a great view or anything, part of a business center area
