“It was OK”

This room was OK. The door security lock was broken, I didn't like that. Also, EVERY lightbulb was very dim. There should be at least one good reading light in a room. The staff was excellent and the continental breakfast very good.

The motel was one of the more reasonably priced motels in Sequim where they tend to be higher priced for the value. The quality of the motel room was average. The staff (Ellie and Skeeter) were helpful and offered assistance getting our things to the second floor.

Pros: Pretty quiet, kind and helpful staff, reasonable breakfast, and it was easy to walk the dog. Cons: A bit off the beaten path, only one eating establishment within walking distance (Mexican), and there is no parking at the motel level meaning several trips up and down to the parking lot. It also has no elevator which could be a problem for some people.

It needs some updating, but our room was clean.

Room Tip: If walking is difficult or you will be in and out of your room a lot, I suggest requesting the first...

We planned to use Sequim as our home base for a few nights as we explored the area and we chose the Days Inn because the price was right and they had a pool. Our first room faced away from the road so we knew it would be good and quiet, but after coming back from dinner we realized the air conditioner wasn't working right. We were moved to another room within 15 minutes or so, to our relief. This time we were facing the parking lot and the road. The only noise we heard were a few people coming in late in the evening, but it was very quiet. We used the pool both nights and it was very refreshing. Both the pool and the hot tub were clean, there were extra towels and it was all kept tidy. With lounging chairs and lots of windows so you got the sun, it was a place I wish we had time to take more advantage of. The breakfast area, which was in the lobby, always had coffee, tea and fruit available. The breakfast offerings were fairly standard, but the really nice thing was that they have a lot of tables set up outside so you could enjoy the sun while eating. This is an older hotel, no elevator, and it could use with some updating. We are pretty simple folk though and as long as it's clean and quiet, we're happy. The staff was very friendly...lots of smiles! The location worked well for us, but if you wanted to walk to the shops, it would take some time to get there as this is on the outskirts of town. There is a decent little Mexican Place right beside it if you didn't want to go far for dinner. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back look out onto a hillside and would be super quiet but we found the road facing...

This is a hotel with an identity crisis. The furnishings and decor is EXTREMELY outdated. We are talking ultra-cheap sad looking early 90s 'motel' type stuff here. More confusingly, the room I stayed in had 3 different hotel logos/names shown in the room. The shower curtain says Ramada all over it, the iron and TV signage said Holiday Plaza while a few things read Days Inn. Also, the room we were in obviously was converted from a room with 2 beds to just one.. This is obvious because the headboard to the old missing is still up with a table placed in front of it. The room had a stale smell... but it wasnt dirty. This property DESPERATELY needs a renovation. Days Inns are usually nicer than this.

PROS : The desk agent was very nice, the room and halls were clean, A/C

CONS : Decor, Furnishings, Bed, lack of elevator, lack of vending (except 1 soda machine), smell
