Location: Gorgeous. Right on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with a view of Dungeness Spit.
House: Gorgeous. Comfortable, attractive, with a large upper story living room with all the comforts one could want, as well as huge widows that look out on the Strait.
Hostess: Berta is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and a wonderful cook.
Cat: Outdoor, which is good for my allergies, but was so much like a dog that I wanted to take her home. She herds and goes for walks. Very funny.
Breakfast: Mostly organic and entirely delicious. She buys products (cider, eggs, jam, crab) from the area and makes breakfasts that are feasts. I mentioned that I don't eat wheat and she made fantastic blueberry pancakes. And if you cook without gluten, you know how hard it is to make tasty pancakes.
Extras: chocolates in the room, a thermos of tea to take on our adventures, extremely comfy bedding, more than enough towels.
