Comfortable and clean room

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 21 Aug 2016
Lovely motel with nicely decorated room. Had a table and chairs which was handy for breakfast. They provide thick fluffy towels. The staff are friendly and helpful and suggested going to the Dungeness spit on the outskirts of town. They were also helpful with dinner suggestions.

There isn't a pool and they don't do breakfast but this is reflected in the price and we find it no problem to have our cereal in the room.

We made the mistake to book this motel as it was close to Olympic National Park. We had a suite with 2 rooms with queen beds. The furniture was from the 70s and when I accidentally dropped a coin and had to pick it up next to the bed I noticed how extremely dirty the bed stands were. The a/c in our room didn't work so we had to leave the windows open during the night. The price for the room we had booked was very high.

If this hotel was not so close to Olympic National Park, it would only deserve a one star rating. Our learning was to either stay in the park (need to book several months in advance, especially for summer stays), or drive to the nearest town (e.g., Olympia, WA) which has properly priced hotel options. We could have booked a beautiful hotel in Olympia for only $30 more which would habe been very much worth it.

If you are not planning on spending any time in your room, this is a good choice. It's clean, it's not a cookie cutter chain motel and it has got it's own little funky thing going on. Spend your time exploring this amazing area instead.

An older property, but clean and a nice room – easy access and lots of restaurants close by – McDonalds across from hotel.
Slow wifi during the evening, but lots of families and children may have been streaming – next morning wifi was excellent. No breakfast

Okay for a night. Old smelly room. We had reservations but were given a undesirable room. We got it changed to a slightly better room. Be sure to check out rooms first. Trailer cottages looked awful. Obviously a business not reinvesting in upkeep.

More motel than inn, it offers a pleasant sleep in comfy beds. The outside has been updated in French style décor while the interior is equipped with older, but still comfortable furniture. We stayed in a large room with two queen beds on the first floor. It came with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker (ceramic cups provided). Both room and small bathroom were clean without any unpleasant budget motel odor. Also linens and towels were fresh. Sink and vanity are located outside the bathroom. There was no breakfast included, but we could use instant coffee bags (in the room) or tea bags (ask in the lobby). Free Wi-Fi was provided and connection was good. The staff easily accommodated our late night check-in (around 11PM). The motel is conveniently located within walking distance to fast food eateries and a short drive to the supermarket. It is close to the main roads, but we weren’t disturbed by the traffic noise (except from occasional unpleasant sound from vending machine in front of our door). Also, dividing walls gave good noise insulation. With easy access to the freeway and proximity to Port Townsend and Port Angeles ferries we would definitely recommend this place for a short stay.
