My family and I all went for a nice little weekend getaway and we can't wait to go back! My mother and father had the Captains quarters and my wife and I had the skipper’s quarters down below. Both had decks with amazing views of the water and all the backdrop of scenery. My wife and I brought our dog, because dogs are allowed! He loved it, lots of places to walk and smells. The cabins are a funky mix of furniture, but it adds to the decor. There is free Wi-Fi through out, which was so nice to be able to check email or play with my apps while sitting by the water. At night, we went to the water to have a fire in the fire pit, every cabin has a fire pit and the cabins that don't have room for a fire pit (such as the captains quarters and skippers quarters) there are communal fire pits.
The location of the resort is perfectly situated down a quiet road, which adds to the privacy. There is plenty to do at and around the beautiful resort. The kitchen was stocked so we were able to bring in food and cook with the supplied necessities.
