There are many less expensive places to stay in Sequim, but this place delivers more than the price. There is nowhere that you can stay and feel as well taken care of as at Lost Mtn Lodge. This B & B is big enough that you have as much privacy as you'd like. Dwight and his staff are as friendly and helpful as can be. Lovely setting, nice hot tub, great breakfast, very quiet, wonderful country night sounds of frogs and crickets. Great location for getting to the Dungeness Spit or into the mountains for a hike. We WILL be back! Thanks Dwight!!

The lodge is a combination of several houses on adjoining parcels of land that have been brought into on over time. Dwight is clearly a detail oriented and hard working Inn keeper. The entire property is set back from any roads or noise. It is truly peaceful and the content of oxygen in the air is enough to make a city dweller dizzy. It is perfectly located to explore the Olympic peninsula. The bathrooms, bedding, and furniture fixtures were all first rate. Nothing is overlooked. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices. This place is good enough to be a destination in its own right. You can sit by the ponds in a swing, sip wine, and let the world slow down for a while. Internet is free and good quality.

This place needs its own category, Luxury B&B. Our room was spacious, very well appointed, great bed and no machine noises. It is one of the few places where I would expect to sleep as well as home. The common areas are outstanding providing both openness and privacy depending on your choice. The grounds are beautiful. The service is outstanding and Dwight is a great information source for planning your outings. Lastly the location is terrific. It is only 2 hours plus from the Seattle area with interesting places to see on the way, and then your day trip opportunities during your visit includes a radius that covers Sekiu, Neah Bay, Cape Flattery, La Push, Forks, lots of the Olympic National Park including the very special Crescent Lake. We are already planning another visit.

Dwight runs a fabulous bed and breakfast which is more like a small boutique hotel. Big rooms, very peaceful and you have use of the house and living room, gardens and hot tub. They serve a fantastic 3 course breakfast which changes everyday. 5 mins drive from Sequim and 15 minutes from the great hikes in the park. we look forward to returning.

Room Tip: we stayed in Sunnyview which we loved.

Our stay at Lost Mountain Lodge was perfect. The lodge is tucked away in a beautiful and private location, but is just a short drive to restaurants and sites of interest. We reserved the Dragonfly suite, which has two King bedrooms/two full baths + a central living space with a fireplace, comfortable seating, TV, etc. The short walk to the main building for breakfast was a highlight every day, thanks to the beauty of the surroundings. Breakfast was terrific -- three delicious courses every morning. We plan to visit the Olympic Peninsula again and can't imagine staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: The Dragonfly is great for families. Plenty of space for both privacy and together time.

A lovely place. A bit expensive, but worth every penny. The attention to detail is like a 5- star hotel in every way. The owner, Dwight, and his staff, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We had to leave at 5 AM for Seattle and they made us a lovely picnic breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, room clean, setting peaceful and pretty. Books, videos, baked goods, excellent coffee, bathrobes, a lovely fireplace in the room, hot steam shower... it's perfect. Don't trust the reviews that say otherwise. Really.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2012

I surprised my wife with a weekend at the Lost Mountain Lodge for our 10th anniversary. We had a very relaxing, romantic getaway. We got some much needed rest as this was our first weekend away from our 7 month old son. We stayed in the Creekside suite which was just awesome. The room was great and the bathroom was enormous. A see-through fireplace can be enjoyed from the bedroom as well as the soaking tub in the bathroom. The icing on the cake was the Spa & Romance Package that included "in-room" massages. The hot tub on the deck, by the pond, under the stars, was a great way to end the evening. The gourmet breafasts were spectacular. If lounging around isn't your thing, there is so much to go see and do within just a short drive. Looking forward to our next stay.

Room Tip: The Creekside room is very romantic and has a sliding door out to the deck and the hot tub.
