“Beautiful Wedding”
Reviewed 7 September 2012

My Husband and I were lucky to get this beautiful venue for our 9/1/2012 Wedding. Dwight and Grace were very accomodating and made sure our experience was the very best. My guests were impressed as Grace was right there to assist with the catering service that were hired for the Wedding reception as well as preparing all of the wonderful appetizers and breakfasts for my guests. The grounds, rooms and attention to detail were superb. We only hope that we will be able to make the trip again to stay for a future Anniversary. Our day was perfect thanks to Dwight, Grace, Andee Clancy weddings and all of the lodge staff.

Room Tip: The Honeymoon Hideaway is awesome as well as the Dragonfly.

Stayed at the lodge on 8/31-9/2 for friend's wedding. After read the posting on the horrible wedding experience, my friend actually cancelled the wedding catering with the lodge, and found another catering in town. The wedding was beautiful. Grace was in charge of hors d'oeuvre and kitchen staffs. Everything are delicious and staffs were very professional. Grace also made breakfast for us, they were very tasty. It was a wonderful stay in the lodge.

A girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in August on a quick trip to the Olympics. The aforementioned disaster wedding happened just prior to our stay and I do wish Dwight would respond on TripAdvisor and settle the review wars as they will hurt the business. That said Dwight was an affable host who gave some good tips on the area. The suite (Moonbeam) was nice, spacious and the whole property is quiet.
Good attention to detail in having robes and slippers, codes for entry, sitting room and kitchen with self-help amenities. the cookies on the bed in the afternoon were a nice touch.
The hot tub is well maintained with a lovely view of the grounds.
The breakfasts were ok....the chef was in transition and the communication was lacking....
As much as I enjoyed our stay I am not sure I would stay again as the price was too high for the distance from Olympic National Park and the service was only average.

We had a wonderful experience at Lost Mnt Lodge the weekend of Aug. 17th. The staff was professional and helpful but not invasive. We were in Sequim for a wedding and to celebrate our 20th anniversary. It was so nice to relax in a quiet place after the wedding. The gourmet breakfasts were delicious. We especially liked the egg torte and all the fresh fruit.
It can be difficult location B&B's that provide king size beds and lost Mnt. Lodge was able to do that for us. We were able to sleep soundly due to the bed and the extremely quiet surroundings. We loved it and recommend you stay at Lost Mnt Lodge when you are in Sequim.

We spent four wonderful days at the Lodge during the 4th of July holiday. Dwight was a suberb host -- provided us with a great orientation to Sequim and the Olympic pensisula and made sure we had all the information we needed to organise our time. Breakfasts were creative and very good with options for dietary needs. All of the staff was friendly and very helpful. We loved the Creekside room which was very spacious and comfortable with its own private deck. Overall, a great place to stay and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Sequim!

After attending a wedding in which raw chicken was served, and calling the health department to report the experience, we found out that this establishment is not even licensed to be offering catering services, period.
Aside from the countless bouts of unprofessionalism, (i.e., my brother wandered into the wrong area and was met with, "What are you doing in here? You're not supposed to be here."; the staff consisted of mostly teenagers with an assortment of haircolors; the wine, red and white, was left out to sit on the tables in the middle of the day in 80 degree heat; there was no water served, or coffee, which was supposed to be included; the chairs and tables were being broken down while there were still guests present, in order to set up for a wedding that was to take place the next day, and being re-set up 15 yards away, the food was cold, and the chicken was RAW. Not undercooked, RAW. Like seared for a minute on both sides and then served.)
The happily married couple stayed that evening and were very displeased by the service they had received. They were supposed to be served brunch in the morning and "chef" Grace never showed up, there was no brunch, an utterly disgusting display of rude, unprofessional service. The OWNER of this establishment was contacted and informed of the sleu of mishaps and offered them a free night stay on their anniversary. A top notch slap in the face after a miserable experience.
I am encouraging my family to seek legal counsel. This should NEVER happen to anyone.

Chef Grace should be ashamed of the August 11 Wedding event she was in-charge of. White wine set out in the hot sun, NO water, NO utensils or EVEN picks for the appetizer table. They served under cooked chicken to the guests.Ugh! Who does that? There was NO coffee served with the cake. The catering staff who were dressed unprofessionally, were breaking down the event WAY TO EARLY in front of most of the guests to set up an event for the following day. Grace must have been embarrassed because she FAILED to show up to serve brunch to the wedding couple the next morning. The Wedding was BEAUTIFUL and that is what I will choose to remember.
