This is the quintessential bed and breakfast experience—warmth and friendliness packaged in beautiful, comfortable and relaxing surroundings.

Contemplating moving from our hometown to Sequim was a gut-wrenching trip for my husband and I, yet, when we arrived at Lost Mountain Lodge all our angst just melted away. The lodge was so inviting, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Because we were traveling with my service dog, we were put in the Guest House accommodations, accommodations now available to people traveling with well-behaved pets. And, WOW! The Guest House is apartment sized with dining area, living room, full kitchen (completely equipped), two bedrooms and a bathroom. The large master bedroom had a comfortable four-poster bed with an equally-large covered patio off it. Tucked next to the large pond, it was both picturesque and very romantic. On the patio outside the front door, there was ample picnic seating and a barbeque grill. We were only there for two nights, but it would have been the perfect place for a weeklong stay.
Breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious and quite bountiful. The chef is so incredibly accommodating. We gave her our dietary restrictions ahead of time, she prepared us a special meal. The staff is so very warm and friendly, especially the proprietor, Dwight. He not only went over all that was available to do in Sequim, he managed to get dinner reservations for his guests at the most popular restaurants. He even made hotel arrangements for us at Sea-Tac when our plans suddenly changed.

The lodge can be used for weddings, and I could imagine a bride walking down the back steps, over the charming little bridge next to the little pond and into the tree-lined glen. A hot-tub/spa overlooks this area as well. Robes and flip-flops are provided.

At breakfast, it was so obvious that the other guests were having just as relaxing a time as we were. Full of smiles and good mornings, they each expressed their gratitude to Dwight for the various arrangements and recommendations he had made for them the day before. The huge kitchen is open to guests and holds a variety of beverage options throughout the day. Chatting amongst guests was as much or as little as each individual guest desired.

Some special notes: Dwight is a furniture maker and he made the cabinetry in the kitchen of the Guest House. Dwight’s father was a master furniture maker and a compatriot of Chihuly. Several of the pieces made by this master furniture maker can be seen around the lodge.

The bed-and-breakfast experience is absolutely wonderful, and those who appreciate it receive so much in return—it is like going to visit your most favorite aunt or uncle; the one who always made you feel welcome and special. When we return to Sequim, and we will, we will definitely return to Lost Mountain Lodge.

GPS Warning: Once you get to Sunny View Drive, watch for the signs to the lodge. Most GPS units will give the wrong turn at the forks.

I just returned from a 2 night stay with my fiance at Lost Mountain Lodge over Thanksgiving break. We wanted a place to stay that was close to attractions in Olympic National Park, while still having good food options nearby. This lodge was AMAZING. The owner welcomed us upon arrival, provided us with maps of the park, downtown Sequim, and a few others and provided lots of recommendations for restaurants, nice sunset spots and key attractions. The room was very comfortable (sunnyview suite) and spacious, and the house had great architecture. The hot tub was clean and heated to 101 degrees...it was so dark and quiet, with great views of the stars. And the breakfast was delicious! Our first breakfast was a tomato and feta quiche, bacon (cooked to perfection!) a croissant with homemade berry jam. That was just the main course, before we had a beautiful yogurt parfait and berry pastry. Several juice options, coffee, tea, espresso drinks, and soda all complimentary. The only thing that could be bothersome to some guests would be that the sunnyview suite is over the kitchen, so when people talk down there you can hear them..but it didn't bother us at all. All around great place to stay, I felt at home and relaxed, and I can't wait to return in the summer and relax on the porch!

My husband and I have never been to this part of Washington State, so we decide to send our 37th Anniversary at the Lost lake Lodge. From the time we arrive until the time we left we felt this was our 2nd home the staff were so welcoming and full of information for us on the area. The room we had was lovely, there was a fireplace that we had on one night as well as we were able to see the stars through the skylights ( Moonbeam Room) Breakfast was amazing both mornings. One day we went to one of the National Parks for nice walk along the buffs , then one our way back visited a few of the local winery's. This area has everything. So Thank you for our beautiful Weekend away.

The Lost Mountain Lodge is centrally located on the peninsula, and tucked away in a very serene area away from the highway. The rooms were spacious, yet cozy, and Patricia made sure we had all of our comforts attended to.

Room Tip: All accomodations were lovely and nicely appointed. The moonbeam room has skylights, and creek side room is on the ground floor.
