“Best of the Peninsula”

When we lived in Seattle, we ate out a lot. Life is different in Sequim, we stay in, eat at a friends home.
But when we go out, we are so lucky to have a place like the Bistro. Locally sourced food, prepared in imaginative ways. Usually something on the special sheet that makes me go "Wow!"
Last night, it was the calamari salad with Mama Lil's peppers. Last time it was surf and turf of rockfish and house made sausage.
Chef Gabriel is a master.

“Great find!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

This is a quaint, simple restaurant that delights the palate. We were referred to this restaurant by the Bed and breakfast we were staying at and they were very right! The pizza is very good and the salads of local greens and the dressings were outstanding. The special that evening was a grass fed 12oz rib steak but the $39.00 price was a bit of a put off compared to everything else being great. We will come back.

I have had excellent dinners at Alderwood Bistro and average dinners there. So be advised that it may be hit or miss.

“Wow!”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

Recommended by our host at the Sea Cliff Gardens B & B, the Alder Wood Bistro was a revelation! Small restaurant with limited menu using local ingredients but very sophisticated, creative choices. Far and away the best meal of a 6 day vacation excursion! Who knew we would find food this good in Sequim? It didn't hurt a bit that our very friendly waitress shared the same name as our daughter-in-law! We will definitely eat here again on or next visit this way.

“good spot off the beaten path”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

This is a small restaurant, but worth stopping in to eat. The food was very fresh, (also largely organic and locally sourced). Small menu overall, but creative offerings. Very friendly service, coupled with reasonable prices and a relaxing atmosphere. Will will want to make a reservation if you go.
