Found this lovely spot online, could not have asked for more. John and Karin were perfect hosts - there when you needed them, but all the privacy you could ask for. Quiet, clean, quaint, incredible view of sunset, eagles flying past at eye level, beautiful flowers, and a pasture of cows out back. Have already rebooked for next year! Can't wait!

Room Tip: you can't go wrong - every room has a view, quaint, full kitchen

Spent 3 nights there, we just love the Sequim area. Marine Drive is very scenic, we saw lots of deer and fawns. Love the view from the kitchen window. Enjoyed the fresh cut flowers in our room. Very quiet and peaceful.

They need to cut the shrubs down to be below the window line so you can see the ocean view from inside the cottage. Be prepared for a "very tiny" bathroom, it about the size of (1.5) porta potties at best. We shared a drive way with the unit next to us, it was a very tight squeeze for (2) cars to fit into. Queen size bed was OK, but hard to get in and out of the side facing the wall, very tight fit. Bathroom smelled moldy.

Thanks for the review....We spend so much time in the cottages making sure everything is ready for our guests that sometimes we miss something so obvious. The offending shrub outside the window is greatly reduced in size so as not to take one bit of your view of the waters and beyond. We've adjusted the bedside tables so there is now ample room on the side of the bed facing the wall (what took us soooo long?). Indeed the bathrooms in the smaller cottages are small. Been that way since 1952 and will no doubt remain so. They are however, always spotless. We searched high and low for 'mildew' and just could not find anything, nor could we smell anything. We are sorry you felt it was a tight squeeze for your pickup truck and we noticed your neighbors during your stay were also driving a large truck. Doesn't happen too often and we've never had any 'near misses', thank goodness......

We stayed here 2 night and absolutely loved it. The entire neighborhood setting is amazing. Mountains, and water, flowers, and even some cows in the distant background make you feel as if you are millions of miles from everyday life. The cottage was immaculate and so well organized. Bring your own food and cook in the well supplied kitchen or eat out in the great and friendly town. Either way, cap it off with a glass of refreshment sitting on the provided lawn chairs and listen to the waves along the shore. The owners have perfected the guest provision service. We will be back. jack and Kitty

Room Tip: Any room would be a treat to stay in. Each room has its' own driveway, carport and entranceway.

This is the third time I've reviewed this property. I don't know how the owners improve perfection, but they do! We stayed here again for three nights. The bed in unit 2 is like sleeping on a cloud. John and Karin make sure your stay is wonderful. The views, oh my the views. Mountain and water views from each unit. My hat is off to these folks that wrote the book on customer satisfaction. Thank you John and Karin!

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at this hotel. It was just what we both needed. Out the front windows is a perfect view of the bay. Out the back windows is a perfect view of snow-capped mountains. The room was impeccably clean. The owners had fresh-cut flowers waiting for us at our kitchen table, along with a map of the town and their suggested places to shop and eat. These were the most relaxing, most wonderful three nights we could have imagined. Deer, bald eagles, gulls outside the front door. We'll be sure to stay there again!

Fled the city and found myself restored after a brief stay at the Dungeness Bay Cottages. In addition to expansive Puget Sound and Olympic peak views from this neat and tidy cottage, it is conveniently located and reasonably priced. The clean and cozy space, complete with kitchen had just the right touches to make myself at home. Between the cows, the birds and the kiteboards - gracious hosts provided timely tips for how best to enjoy and explore. Well worth repeating!

We've been here several times before, but we usually come in late October.
This year we came up for Easter in Sequim, and found the weather in
April is just about the same as it is in October. We're from Southern California,
so we don't mind seeing a little precipitation occasionally, as it doesn't
happen at home much anymore.
We always try to stay in the San Juan suite, as the fireplace sort of adds to
the Pacific Northwest experience. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything
you need to cook meals (not cleaning up after yourself is not acceptable).
Also the barbeques out back can make for a real good time. We can sit at the
front table and watch the ships go by all day long. (go to vessesl tracker on
your tablet or laptop. You can watch the progess of the boats past your
window. It's a nice diversion from daily life!) The neighborhood is just so
quiet and tranquil, especially when you get straifed by a Bald Eagle looking
for dinner by the water at dusk!
Papa Crab and Mrs K. (AKA, John and Karin), are just about the nicest
people around. They are both a trove of local knowledge, and will happily
advise you on anything from driving up to Hurricane Ridge, to eating at any
of the local restaurants. (We keep finding awesome new places that are low-
key, casual, and with a home spirit) We just love the slow-paced lifestyle
up here. It is just a great place to hang for four or ten days.
Every time I ask John what he wants for the place, He laughs at me!
John, it's not a joke! We love your place, and don't stay anywhere else.
