“Picture Perfect place to stay and relax”
Reviewed 10 September 2013

This is the most relaxing place to stay. The house is beautiful and Phil and Kelly have thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as can be. My sister and I were visiting and had some car trouble which included waiting for hours for a tow truck to come. Phil and Kelly did whatever they could to make our wait comfortable. This also enabled us to stay longer than anticipated to see the low tide and view the amazing and colorful starfish that were on the beach. Will defintiely go back whenever I am in the area.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Zen room which was very spacious and relaxing

It's so fun to arrive someplace that so surpasses your expectations! This is a well thought-out, beautiful in every detail, welcoming, place to BREATH. Amazing hosts and wonderful food. I don't use adjectives like these with ease, but there just is no way to describe this B & B without...big adjectives! It's a little off the beaten path, but very worth the effort.

Wow! What a place. The Bed and Breakfast was beautiful. This looks like it come from the pages of a design magazine. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I was impressed with the little thoughtful touches like sunscreen and sunburn lotion in the bathrooms and complimentary snacks in the room. The owners were gracious and friendly. the food was excellent. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Let's say I win the Lottery and I could build a home with beautiful rooms, a gorgeous view and have a gourmet meal served each morning. Or I could wake up at this bed and breakfast. Fantastic is an understatement. Phil and Kelly designed and built their dream home on a family parcel of land and now they are sharing it with us. We were here for a family event and stayed two nights to be close to the event site. Could hardly eat anything at the reception because of the many coursed breakfast. The Theater room is a must and the game room would entertain the family for days. Did I mention mini-golf? We will be back when we can spend more time here. Without the family. .

Room Tip: they are all great but we perfered to be up for the view.

My wife says I am to include awesome, phenomenable, and exceptional in our 2nd review on Kelly and Phil's property. We pulled up in the driveway and Kelly greeted us as returning family, before we got off our Goldwing Motorcycle. Phil followed and insisted that I park the bike under shelter as thunderstorms are in the forecast. Even the motorbike gets 1st class service.

Our favorite suite is the Lighthouse Room, which like the entire property is perfectly clean. Kelly has thought of everything and the very large bathroom as all the little things one would have at home, including plush bathrobes and towels, sunscreen, very nice soaps, bath salts, and cotton balls, q-tips, etc. The view from the deck attached to the room is ideal and is highlighted by the floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors.

As this was my wife's birthday present, a very nice bottle of champagne, nicely chilled and presented awaited us in our room.

During our stay I also had the chance to spend some time reading upstairs in one of several common areas. Very comfortable chairs are placed throughout the property, both inside and outside, allowing guests several options to mingle or spend quality private time as couples.

Breakfast is expertly prepared and presented, including fine china an silverware (see pictures). My wife is lactose intolerant, and yet she reported her breakfast as being very tasty.

Kelly and Phil also seem to attract the nicest other guests to this property, and we had both a newlywed couple, and a middle aged family attending a family event nearby. My guess is that the newlyweds will be returning every year for their anniversary. Kelly and Phil somehow make this B&B a very happy and welcoming family environment with all the guests quickly feeling part of the same family.

Or first visit last summer was just for a night, on the way home after a long two week road trip. This time we came for two nights and really had time to relax and enjoy the property and Kelly and Phil's hospitality. Our only regret is not finding the time to play a round of mini gold, so we be back, and we will back for at least two nights, as Kelly and Phil have successfully made this property more of a destination then a great place to spend the night.

BTW thanks Kelly and Phil for a terrific weekend!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are very nice, however, the lighthouse room also comes with a private breakfast nook w...

Yes really, there is nothing that we can add to the other reviews as It's already been said. Even though Phil tried to asphyxiate me while telling one of his story's during breakfast [ I choked on my coffee laughing ], we will return.

The Lighthouse keeper greets you with his lantern as you come into the drive, and from then on in the hospitality is as warm and generous as it gets. The whole house has been exquisitely furnished and includes an imaginative array of facilities from table football to a home cinema. The location is stunningly beautiful and a real haven from stress and every day worries. Sitting down at the lake on the chairs under the gazebo was a real treat for us and the view from the bedroom balcony was hard to beat. The food was excellent, though more than we would normally be used to in the UK; but we were assured we could leave it if we were stuffed! You are given the option of early morning freshly baked produce and tea or coffee. You later start breakfast in the in the communal area. After that, we were shown our own private breakfast area upstairs, overlooking the lake. The table had been beautifully set, even with candles, and a pair of binoculars had been provided to watch the wildlife. For a bit of rest and relaxatio, it really hit the spot and not many people provide home baked lighthouse shaped cookies for their guests!
