“Don't Wear White”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2013

I love BBQ so this place fills the bill. I really liked the burnt ends. The corn muffin was good but the rest of the sides are canned or SYSCO-type food. But since it was the meat I was after, and that was excellent, I really enjoyed my meal.

“Always a good bet!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2013

Love this place. I always sit in the bar area. They have one of the best happy hour menus around. Good, cold beer that is reasonably priced and several appetizers (onion rings are usually pretty good) that are well-priced as well. I like their vege sides and their sausage. Sliced beef is always a good choice. And the waitstaff is always courteous and efficient.

“Ribs and Blues at Famous Dave's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2013

Famous Dave's makes for an interesting night out. The service is excellent, the décor is fun to look at, and oh the ribs.

You can get a dinner for two or more served on - wait for it- a garbage can lid. (Don't worry, it's clean and covered with paper.)

If you're new to Famous Dave's, try the 1/3 slab of St. Louis ribs and pick a couple of sides. If your "sorta" like cole slaw, try it - it's the best because it's ramped up with a touch of horseradish. You get five kinds of BBQ sauce on your table, so order I "naked" because you don't need their house sauce, you can pick your own. It will come deliciously seasoned and is awesome with no sauce at all. The meals come with a corn muffin, but you have to ask for butter.

Overlooked, but well worth it, are the burgers. Again, ask for "naked" if you don't want BBQ sauce on it. One good reason to choose a burger is the fire pickle that comes with it. Don't give this to your kids - they are very hot and that's what makes them so good.

The country roasted chicken is also very good, making your menu choice a little difficult and that is a good reason to eat here often.

Go here if you enjoy hearing the blues, you like collectibles (the walls are covered with old-fashioned kitchen accessories, gas station collectibles and the occasional fishing gear.

This restaurant is conveniently located near the mall and movie theaters. You can eat well for under $15 per person, and because of the décor and unique music offering, it's a good place to decompress.

Wonderful atmosphere very friendly staff food is excellent all together worth the price plenty of seating with a fire place so many menu choices it is hard to decide and plenty to take home if you have a small appetite.

“A Taste of the South for your Mouth!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2013

As a Southerner, I know what country cooking tastes like. Each entree that I've had at Famous Dave's has been extremely good. I've had the Pulled Pork; BBQ Ribs; Riblets; and Chicken strips. Sides of note are the BBQ Beans and the Macaroni and Cheese w Jalapenos. The only aspect of Famous Dave's I don't enjoy, are the desserts. They don't cut it.
