We weren't sure about this place but decided the menu looked good and the prices were fair. Surprised we were taking our first bites into our burgers, everything had flavor and was well seasoned. My friend had a blue cheese bacon burger and he really enjoyed it. He ordered the regular potato salad with his and he said it was very good. I ordered the burger dip and really liked that the au ju had a nice flavor, often it is just dark heated water. The burger bun had some flavor also which I think was a spread but it added to the taste. I had the fresh cut homemade fries with my burger and they were seasoned just right. The fries reminded me of what Mom made. We vowed to return and try other items on the menu.

The atmosphere is great with some wonderful old photos of Snohomish over the years. As noted in other reviews there are some awesome things hanging from the ceiling. We were having lunch and a band was setting up so they must have night time live entertainment. Service was perfect and water was refilled more than once.

When you are walking the sidewalks of Snohomish and need a break from the shopping of the little boutiques the Oxford Saloon is the place to stop and relax over a good meal.

You know...they say the Oxford is haunted...several people it seems have died in this building...from the giant knight hanging from the ceiling to the original bar from the early days...we go here fairly often...good spirits and typical bar fare for the food...live music weekend nights...The Oxford is a gem from the past still kickin..

We never get tired of putting our knees under the vintage tables at the Oxford, knowing that the mellow mid-day feeling will let us rest up for the second half of our all-day search for the perfect bits of the past lurking in the town's many antique and specialty shops. The food here never disappoints (and if it ever should, walk down the street and have a slice of pie and get over yourself!). We ordered a chili burger and a grilled chicken sandwich when we were in last week and are happy to report the food was great! The chicken, avocado and bacon on sourdough bread was a two-handed sandwich accompanied by a pile of French fries that were brown, hot and not ashamed to have been fried in real fat - think Dick's-heavenly! The chili burger was two patties on a huge bun with a generous amount of rich, savory chili served with a bowl of coleslaw on the side ('cuz you just gotta eat your veggies...).
Go, eat, enjoy. Then, go shopping. Then have some pie anyway.
