This restaurant could probably edge a little higher than average . . .it clearly is the best game in town on Snoqualmie Ridge. The interior is pleasant with nicely appointed tables, there is a nice patio for outside dining, and the staff is pleasant. The food falls slightly short of being really good. The red sauce reads differently for the various dishes, but it all tastes the same regardless of what it is served with. Can't say I'm a fan of dill on Italian food -- basil, yes! The lettuce was just a little past its prime and there was way too much frieze and not enough hearty mixed greens. The portions were generous, but the seafood in the dishes was a little tough. The bread, which appeared to be cooked in a pan, was much too done on the bottom side and tasted very much like a corn bread . . .a strange offering. The waiter made a nice suggestion for a very modestly priced wine; and while it was not stellar, it was certainly drinkable for the price. We came from Kirkland and Issaquah to have dinner there, and we wished it had been just a bit better overall.
